    Works perfect thankyou.

Now rooted and debloated on "Pure"ROM.

A word of advice for others contemplating installing this: Do not follow the instructions on the Ulefone Blog site showing using the Be Touch 2 (MTK6752) scatter file. The memory locations for recovery partition are different to the Be Touch 3 so it will softbrick your phone.

The above instructions are spot on.

    Thank you for this,

Just got the B Touch 3 a couple of hours ago, it's my first device with a MTK processor so all this stuff is new for me
Didn't really need a twrp recovery, but that was the only way to root the phone and now I got root.

Still exploring the phone, and I think the the finger scanner is a bit buggy…or is it only me?

    Anyway, 5 STARS rated

By the way, it's good to warn users that on windows 8.1 and up , installing the MTK drivers will take some workaround …..

In the official ROM of this phone, in the wifi advance settings there is no wifi frequency band, 2,4 or 5 ghz. I think it is somehow set as automatic. I really need this option, because the router in my office has both frequency and the phone continually drops from connection to change band. I would like to manually choose one band.

Can anyone that used this custom ROM tell me if there is this option in the wifi advance option. I'm not familiar with installing ROM's but if this custom ROM has the wifi frequency band i will defently intall it.

thank you in advance dor any comment

Afaik, I don't think this is a custom rom, but just a custom recovery (touch TWRP) and root.

But before trying a custom rom or a 3rd party app to configure WiFi, make sure WiFi sleep policy is set to "ALWAYS"

Meaning, keep wifi always on during sleep (advanced settings) .. I read somewhere it is effective in other situations also when device is not sleeping

thank you for your quick reply. I have tried to set the wifi policy to always on, but wifi keeps dropin on my office dual band wifi. In fact when I use my home wifi, only 2,4 ghz, it works fine. As I said, I'm not familiar with ROM instalation. I just need this option to choose manually which wifi band to use, and I dont really understand why ulefone removed this option.

please, can anyone suggest me what can I do to resolve this issue?

Hi…First Im happy that this resolved the problem. Now the phone is using both the bands, and when it change wifi band it does not change ip so the connection dosent drop. So problem resolved.

but here comes the fun part.

i have contacted ulefone. And here is what they told me:

Thank you for contacting customer support of Ulefone Mobile

We haven't remove the option of choosing the WiFi band but it was dictated by the CPU that have been used in Ulefone Be Touch 3. Unfortunately, unlike MTK6752 CPU in Be Touch 3 MTK6753 doesn't support 5MHz frequency. We are deeply sorry for inconvenience.

but in their website they say the BT3 has dual band. And MTK says that this CPU does support dual band. So I send them a link from MTK website, and two videos of my phone using both bands. And then they asked me how I resolved this, sayin May you, please, describe how did you do that. We and our customers will really appreciate your help.

very interesting. I hope that this problem will be resolved definitely when BT3 gets Android 6.

      thank you again.

Glad to hear your issue is solved. So that app (wifi settings ) did the trick right?

To tell you the truth I haven't been using the BT3 that much, still having a hard time to replace my Oppo find 7, so will be giving the BT3 to my father, maybe. Will be test driving it again , soon
Also forgot to tell you to get into engineer mode to see what's possible to do over there – dial   *#*#3646633#*#*

But going to be testing the BT3 soon again;very good phone , specially for the price; it's really a very good buy , I don't think there is a better phone out there for this price ( I payed around 160 euros with the delivery from an EU warehouse; took 4 days to Holland) .
Just will be keeping my fingers crossed to never have to need support or warranty services :(

I just think that the finger scanner is not that responsive. At least on my BT3 it's often un-responsive or slow…what about on your phone?

I found a Ulefone forum, but it's quite dead over there…
