2. Make a backup of your base ROM from MTK Droid Tools (IMPORTANT)

3. Make a backup of your current ROM with CWM (YES, ANOTHER BACKUP. DO IT NOW)

4. Download your new MIUI ROM from the link above.

5. Yes, your line is slow

6. Put the zip file in your sdcard

7. Reboot in CWM Recovery (Power Off your phone, Hold Vol. Up + Power until phone vibrates. Release Power. Select Recovery)

8. Do the following:
. Wipe data/factory reset,
. Wipe cache partition,
. Advanced –>Wipe dalvik cache,
. Install zip from sdcard

* Be patient during first boot. It might take as long as 5 minutes to finish the entire boot process. Do not interrupt it. *

* I've added a Super-SU update in case anyone has trouble updating the included MIUI SuperSU from Google PlayStore. In order to use it save it to your sd card, reboot phone to cwm recovery and flash it from there.

*** DON'T PLAY IT COOL, SKIP STEPS AND THEN COME WHINING THAT YOUR PHONE IS BRICKED. THE BACKUPS ARE THERE FOR A REASON. DO THEM. B O T H

"I have recovery 3e on my phone. Can I install rom from 3e?"

Hi suden36. No, you can't install from recovery 3e. You need cwm

"i need CWM. where can i get it?"

You can create it using MTKDroid Tools. Do a google search (plenty of videos as well) and if you need any help, ask

Many thanks. Firmware is installed. wifi and Bluetooth works good. Looks beautiful. I'll test for reboots, but it seems it is the most stable of all that I tried.

Great suden36. Thanks for reporting back. I've been using it since I built it for many months now and haven't had any issues. Also battery usage is great.

For any issues you might have post and I'll help if I can

    Bye

      Hi kaiserdj

This is really strange as for me everything works fine without any reboots (been using it for months). Have you followed step 8?

    hi,

can someone help me? like kaiserdj, in mine the wifi also doesn´t work.

is there some way to correct it?

i saved a copy of my base ROM from MTK Droid Tools but i didn´t have one from the cwm recovery so my question is:

can i (and how) flash the old rom or a diferent one that works?

    please help me.

    i´m desperate

    thanks in advance

this rom is realy very much unstable.

i´ve tried over and over to re-install it and the result is the same: no wi-fi, freezes the phone many times, etc.

is there a possibility to return to the old rom?
