    Hi Tal

Can you clarify exact steps to install this GPS fix?

It seems it must be done from recovery and it's not just a copy/paste of 3 files?

IfI'm wrong, can you be a little more explicit about what are the 3files and where to put them?

Eg i don't have any  mtkgps.dat file on my jiayu g2f

    Thanks in advance

      Hi Xman

      The solution is for

      or all android mtk version

attach just the 3 files that you need to copy to \ etc- first off all you need to delete mtkgps.dat from \data\misc

the solution is originaly for use with cwm, I tried it and didn't liked it'

      attach just the etc files

please change in  the gps.conf the NTP for your continent- us,asia,europe

      enjoy

    1. Turn GPS off on your phone. Your phone must be rooted
    2. Open Root Explorer and find the mtkgps.dat file in /data or /data/misc
    3. Delete mtkgps.dat
    4. Reboot phone

the 3 files that you need to copy to \ etc

    are in the etc.zip

Hello, I tested gps mtk fix on my Jiayu G4C and it works nicely, it's a bit faster. I followed the steps above and had no problem. Just one question, do I have to performe epo download or do I just go to the mobile uncle tools and press Hot, full and Agps restart from time to time or I don't have to do any of it anymore? Thanks

      Hi

I'm happy that it did work for you. I didn't need to use mobile uncle tools . I tryed it before and it  didn't help for me.

The EPO server is most of the time unreachable so i don't use EPO.

      Regards

      Tal

I've tested on ZOPO 999…it does not correct anything, The GPS remains still so bad, event after applying this mtk fix. Don't know if it's due to this fix or if it's a particular pb to ZP999

ZP999 has very good GPS, much, much better than ANY MTK phone so far.

      I had an old MTK6516 phone, MTK6575 Zopo ZP200, MTK 6589 Star X920, MTK 6592 ZP998, and now i have MTK6595 ZP999.

ZP999 beats them all! It is like a polished and perfected ZP998. GPS, camera sound – no problems at all! And, it is blazing-fast. No lags at all.

ZP999 does not even need any timezone or gps.conf settings! I had 18 fixed satellites out of 21 right out of the box! Just turned GPS on. Fix in seconds!

Consider returning your ZP999 to seller for repairs or replacement, it is a defective one you have, 100%.

Sir is that step right ?
    1st – turn off gps

2nd – open root explorer and search file ‘mtkgps.dat’ and delete

3nd – copy 3 files in folder etc to system/etc

4nd – find file ‘gps.conf’ and change the country continent . Save and set permission reboot ?
