It have been running quite nice for the last 12 hours since I installed it! A lot faster than the 4.0.4 builds out there!

I found a strange bug! Last evening I connected the phone to the wall charger as the battery was low. 3 hours later I disconnected the phone as I had to go out and it was at 89% battery. This morning I connected it to complete the charge and an hour later there was a green led indicating the charge is over. I pushed the power button to wake the phone but nothing happened! It was stuck! I removed the battery and put it back again. The phone was ok and at 94% percent Charge! I connected the phone to the wall charger again and after no more than 5 minutes later, it was stuck again! Only a battery removal remedies the situation! This is the first time I charge the phone with this ROM and the first time the phone behaves this way! The first nearly three hours of charge didn’t affect the device! Maybe something happens at the end of charging (or near the end of the process) Can you look into this please?

I am now getting “E”next to my mobile data, which means it isn’t utilizing 3G networks and I am getting much slower mobile speed.
    Any hint?

    My network is WCDMA-2100

Edit: I simply changed the SIM card from one slot to the other slot, fixed the problem :)

SoCr@Te, Do you mean the battery charging bug I experienced, or the missing LED notifications?

I’m pretty sure the battery charging bug has become present in many 4.1.2 roms, I even had it in the Maizu 4.1.2 rom. Best bet is to let it do a complete 100% charge by doing automatic power-off/power-on to charge your phone the whole way.

As for LED notifications, it hasn’t been working ever since the first 4.1.2 ROM but hopefully it gets worked on soon.
Oh well, another +1 to battery saving there :p

antypant, which SIM slot is your SIM Card in? Only SIM1 is 3G Capable! SIM2 is 2G
I have (H) almost all the time and the internet speed is OK

I used to run my SIM in Slot2 “W”and I was getting 3G speeds fine with it.
Ever since I updated this ROM it turned it towards 2G speeds somehow? Must have swapped the compatibilities of either slot system wise.

antypant, According to the Jiayu G3 Manual, only SIM1 slot is 3G Capable! I’ve always used two SIM cards in mine and always SIM1 was the 3G one no matter of the ROM (4.0.4 or 4.1.2) Maybe your previous ROM had the ability to change the 3G Card? I’ve seen this option in one of the ROMs I’ve tried…

I knew that fact and found it odd at the same time.
I’m assuming the ‘G’and the ‘W’standed for GSM and WCDNA. And seeing as my network runs its 3G network off WCDMA by default I assumed the Sim would be well fitted to the ‘W’slot and well, voila, there was 3G connectivity.

I’m guessing the manual refers to China’s own mobile networks. As I’m pretty sure their 33G runs off a different band to the one I’m on?

May not look as a big problem but if you have Data plan on one of them and none on the other, it can be very unpleasant when you receive your next bill! I’m glad that some of “antypant”‘s comments made me check what is going on and I found this before much internet traffic went through the wrong SIM card!

Thought something cheesy was up with the whole SIM interface :p
Glad you resolved a problem though! antypant/ubelai :)

I’m now experiencing the charging problem you were! Yet to do a 100% charge with the phone off.
Only way I’ve avoided this was when I flashed this ROM over this ROM: http://www.needrom.com/mobile/jiayu-g3-2/

All was working fine until something happened with the contact db and as a result no contact names were showing in my messages, just phone numbers! So I did a re-flash to the stock rom via SPFlashTool then added this one over it fresh. Fixed the contact problem but now I’m facing the charging problem! Hope a fix is found soon!
