Thank you so much. I have been looking for a MIUI build for my R827 Oppo Find 5 mini. This is perfect! I will let you know how it is working for me once I flash this rom …

Okay …here is my experience. First, I am a USA user, but living in Bangkok Thailand. I bought the Oppo Find 5 mini here in Bangkok. I did not really like Oppo ColorOS and wanted to flash a custom ROM like Cyanagenmod or MIUI, but could not find a proper build until now …

First, I had to root the phone using the Framaroot method in order to install other tools for setting up the phone to flash custom ROM. You can find the perfect guide in English listed here: http://theunlockr.com/2014/07/15/how-to-root-the-oppo-find-5-mini/

Followed the steps to root and install the ROM manager so you can flash the ROM.

Next, did a full backup of your current ROM using CWM recovery. Copied this to my PC or backup in case anything goes wrong.

Then I just followed the steps included on this page by the developer for this custom ROM.

The Touch Recovery version was difficult to find the .zip file once it was on my sd card (the touch UI did not scroll all the way down to the bottom for me to view the file, but I just keyed down to the last file and clicked enter), but managed and then the Aroma installer took things the rest of the way as intended.

First boot up is a little slow as it gets everything running, just be patient. Once it boots into MIUI followed the standard setup procedure.

I skipped the setup for the MI account as I do not use this.

Once I got through, everything seems smooth as butter! I like the simplicity of the MIUI builds. So far so good!

So playing around with it most of the afternoon …the only real issues I am seeing currently is first, I cannot seem to open the System >Apps per app settings. When I go in here to select an app and view its settings, I get a window crash error telling me that the Settings has crashed. That's a bummer. Also, I cannot seem to move apps to SD using Titanium Backup or Link2SD apps. The phone is rooted and the SD is mounted and working. Not sure if this is a ROM issue?

Another issue currently: My carrier is DTAC in Thailand, and the phone keeps switching to roaming. Not sure why its doing that now.

Other than that, I have found this build to be very solid and I think better performance than ColorOS. If I can work out this small issues, especially the Settings >App crash, I find it very good for everyday.

Question: Does the OTA update work for this build?

I have had only a few force quits over the past few months, other than that everything has been pretty solid and smooth. One small annoyance: I am using the Find 5 mini (R827) in Bangkok, Thailand over DTAC and the phone shows as roaming. I talked to the mobile service and they said that it is an incompatibility with the device radio. It is not actually roaming and works fine, I can even get HSPDA over network fine. So, as I said just an annoyance more than anything.
