Author adMember Info

DESCRIPTION

This backup was got from my phone, after he visited Mlais office. The firmware not 100% cure disease "twitching screen"for data transmission in 2G mode, but makes phone useful when twitching are happen. The screeen is no longer go to switch off. For those who have had a similar bug –those update is extrimely "must have". Some people have been reports that Wi-Fi in the 5GHz band has improved.

Sequencing (Russian users may got instruction from here http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?s …findpost&p=47323312 ):

1. Install the latest official firmware 20151102 with Mlais instruction.

2. Install the custom Recovery. Russian people can install TWRP 2.8.7.0 by jemmini or new TWRP 3.0 from here. Notice: my backup was made in TWRP 2.8.7.0 by jemmini, i`m from Russia.

3. Download my backup from here. After downloading –unzip it to your phone.

4. Reboot into Recovery (turn off the phone, hold Vol + and Pwr simultaneously until Mlais white screen).

5. In TWRP, select Backup and backup your firmware completely, especially the Data section (if something goes wrong, you can quickly restore it all back, or else blame yourself).

6. In TWRP, select Restore and select my mackup. Install all the checkboxes (boot and system) and restore.

7. Reboot.

PS:

Only one method for true cure "twitching of screen"problem –disable in Engineer mode on BaseBand section GSM mode –EGSM900.

I try it, and twitching was cured. No twitching from now.

hansinetto are you really got 20160118 firmware now? Because this type of freezes was cured earlier in 20151102 ROM.

If not –when we got 1 negative response of you about problem of "twitching screen". Other people response about cured screen.

    ??
    Android version 5.1
    Android security patch level 2015-11-01
    Build number MLAIS_MX_BASE_20160118 …

Still, “twitching screen”sometimes happens. But my phone doesn’t freeze anymore, and doesn’t reboot alone.
Nevertheless, your ROM has helped. I really thank you.

How do we get to engineer mode again? I'm pretty sure its that one where you dial a bunch of *, #, and numbers in the phone app, right?

Is that mostly what this last update did? If i do this, is there any point of flashing the new rom? restoring all my apps and settings takes around 1 hour after a flash, so id rather skip doing all that if i can.

I still notice a few really annoying problems with the phone(asking to turn OFF USB file sharing when I enable it, Not supporting USB cameras, GPS being a complete mess, etc…) but i guess those will be ignored now. Damn shame, the actual hardware seemed pretty good for what i paid for it.

Whoops, shoulda googled more closly. First result gives the wrong number(which is why i asked)

      The proper code is

      *#*#3646633#*#*

Other question about the rom update still stands though(is this update pointless after i have disabled EGSM900?)

Any English instructions for installing TWRP? I translated the Russian site in the link to English but it's very hard to understand.

Instruction was on official Web forum of Mlais. But few weeks ago he was closed. Try to search on other sources about how to flash TWRP recovery. It is simple instruction.

@Nerv I'm stuck at this 3. Download my backup from here. After downloading –unzip it to your phone.

In winrar I don't see the phone path to extract it to?
