Mirror for official Android 5.0 for Elephone P6000.

Important !!!
  1. Please make a backup for the radio frequency parameter before update. Here is the tutorial. (Note: might not be needed, but it's better to be safe).
  2. Use the latest SP Flash Tool v5.1512.00
  3. DO NOT remove the battery as you've used to with older Mediatek phones to flash.
  4. Choose "Firmware Upgrade"instead of "Format". In case you run into any trouble, choose Format All+Download.
  5. Use the radio backup to recover the parameters after update if you get none or bad signal (following the tutorial in point 1).

Press Power button and Volume Up button together. Keep pressing until you'll see the Elephone logo, than release te power button. An image of android robot with red exclamation mark shows up. Tick the power button again and you'll see the recovery menu.

When I tried flashing this using the SPFlashTool, it stopped with an error 4010 related to unable to format.

Now my phone is unable to boot. I've tried power button + volume down, no luck.

    What should I do?

    Please help.

The phone is still being detected in the flash tool. But when triggering the download/firmware upgrade, the same 4010 Invalid format settings is returned.

    Hi Everyone,

Was able to restore it by completing the flashing process.

I put back the battery (phone powered off) before connecting to the PC.

    ROM now successfully loaded.

Yes, sorry, I forgot to mention that newer Mediatek phones should be flashed with battery.

I loaded the ROM K01Q-H.L.vR30.E3.150417 successfully using the SP Flash Tool v5.1512.00 to the switched off phone. But I kept the battery inside. I did not backup the radio frequency before. After starting the phone and activating Google play store via WiFi, I downloded Chamelephon and inserted the two IMEI, they were lost during the instalation.

Bugs still remain (from my point of view): information LED doen´t work, and ugly camera. I have the original P6000, one of the first, not P6000- 2.

To XLSX: Thank you very much for your reply, I watch the mentioned video. I have no problem with the IMEI, I fixed the two empty IMEI´s within few minutes with Chamelephon application. Moreover chamelephon app is very comfortable for users. I have problem with both KitKat and Lollipop - the blurry camera. It is declareted like 13 Mpx but the results look like from a 5 Mpx or less.

I added an URL for custom recovery on LP. Btw, it's easy to flash it using SP Flash tools

      - if you are just about to flash the system, change the path to recovery in SP Flash Tools from stock to custom file recoveryL.img and flash the system with custom recovery right on. Note that you must flash it as Firmware Upgrade, all other information in the guide is the same.

      - if you already flashed the system, load the scatter file, uncheck ALL the option except Recovery, click on the path a look for custom recovery file recoveryL.img. Flash it as Download, ignore the warnings.
