@czrdnc : It works just fine putting the IMEI back in the engineering mode, as tested by me a few times until now. You just have to retry it if it doesn't work properly.

When using AT +EGMR=1,7,”IMEI_1” don't forget putting a space between AT and the + sign and it shall work just fine.

(Normally when you enter the "Radio Information"option, AT+ doesn't appear sepparated)

Restart your phone after that and check if the IMEI has been added and recognized at network level [it will work!.. trust me, if not, retry the AT +.... procedure ;) ].

I hope I helped you with regarding this matter. :)

@rhydin : Yes. It's true and the main problem about this is that you cannot deactivate the search mode for the second SIM in "Settings ->SIM management", because the developers "forgot"to add this feature (I could find this option on other Dual SIM phones with 4.4.2 KitKat). I think that only if you insert a second SIM, you will be able to turn it on or off, which is not working on the single SIM device, because the second SIM slot is blocked by a metallic case (DON'T try to break or cut the second SIM slot open -> Reason: it was not tested by me, so I don't know for sure if it will work or not !? -> You will lose your warranty also). So, you have no chance getting rid of that annoying "SIM 2 missing…." message which appears randomly. In conclusion, the signal is acceptable for calling and/or messaging. However, turning your Data Connection ON will drop your signal to a very low level and connectivity issues appear constantly when navigating the internet.

MAJOR CONCLUSION TO ALL USERS: I have tested this Dual SIM Android KitKat version for several days on my Single SIM S388. It looks and works very well for those who don't use Data Connection too often and for those who aren't bothered by time-to-time signal droppages, not disconnections (Wi-Fi connectivity works perfectly instead).

    keypad, * # * # 3646633 # * # *

    Select Tab Connectivity

    select CDS information

    select Radio Infomation

    Phone 1: Insert the command at + egmr = 1.7 "IMEI1"

    Phone 2: Insert the command at + egmr = 1.10 "imei2"

When you restart the phone and everything worked fine.
