it works! but first you need to enable OEM unlocking in developer options to properly flash

I used the scatter file from the other twrp and placed in  the folder with this recovery.img.

I've tried this and the TWRP for lollipop version and neither of them register any touches once TWRP boots up. I also get the prompt about Unmodified System Partition/Keep System Read only? Anyone know why this isn't working?

For those with non-responsive touchscreens in TWRP, try using a mouse via usb OTG!

Using a mouse via USB OTG, I installed the CM12.1 rom successfully but touchscreen still didn't work after booting up the new rom. I had to revert to my backup of the stock rom before touchscreen worked again.

I have a weird problem, apparently the flash using sp flash tool works only once !

I think it might be becaue of a missing recovery-verified.img file but anyway it means that once I have flashed this I must boot it using volume up + power then it works but then if I reboot the system and try to get back later to the recovery using either "adb reboot recovery" or volume up + power keys I find the good old cubot recovery !

Oh well it's annoying but I can still use this to flash some rom so I guess it's usable even if not convenient…
