DESCRIPTION

Official ROM Android 7.0 for Vernee Thor

This is the stock Android 7.0 ROM (14/02/2017) from Vernee. It works ok on phones bought before and after 10/2016.

WARNING!! This procedure will erase ALL data on the phone. Make sure you have made a previous backup of all your data.

Instalation instructions:

1 –The ROM .rar file must be uncompressed to an empty dir.

2 –The SP_Flash_Tool zip file must be uncompressed to another empty dir.

3 –Run flash_tool.exe as admin and select the file MT6753_Android_scatter.txt.

4 –Power off the phone.

5 –In SP_Flash_Tool push the DOWNLOAD button.

6 –Connect your phone to the PC via USB cable and the flashing process will start.

After that, the phone will reboot a few times to finish the installation and now you have Android 7 up and running.

If your phone isn't detected, you have to install Mediatek_Driver_Auto_Installer. On Windows >=8 probably you have to allow the installation of unsigned drivers.

Also are included the TWRP recovery (flashable via Flashtool) and the SuperSU, for advanced users that want their phones rooted.

"It works ok on phones bought after 10/2016."

It also works perfectly on phones before 10/2016.

    I tried it.

Of course, it's the official Vernee ROM. The problem is with the custom roms because of hardware changes. I've a Thor bought in July 2016, the original screen was broken and then replaced in January 2017and it's incompatible with custom ROMs like madOS Nougat. That was the reason to explicitly show that date.

I'll edit it to avoid misunderstandings.

I installed substratum which caused a bootloop. This ROM helped me get things back to normal after flashing throug the SP tool.
