DESCRIPTION

prerequisite :

- have a system with adb and fastboot installed with correct path set

- have the usb debugging enabled

- run the command line and be in the same folder as the recovery.img file

instructions:

to test this recovery :

1:reboot in bootloader

type adb reboot bootloader

the phone will reboot and stay blocked on the nubia logo

2: test recovery before flashing

type fastboot -i 0x19D2 boot recovery.img

this will reboot the phone after 4 or 5 seconds in the recovery, there you can test some menu…

To go back : advanced menu, reboot booloader

3: flash the recovery

type fastboot -i 0x19D2 flash recovery recovery.img

type fastboot -i 0x19D2 reboot

once phone is booted, type

adb reboot recovery

I have only a Nubia Z7 mini, therefore I don't know if this recovery works on Z7 or Z7MAX …

you can try, but it will be at your own risk. Before flashing make sure that the testing phase is working

This recovery was found on a chinese forum

I tested the full process before posting here

OK. It's done. I finally use teh Quickboot app to to go bootloader mode

Alain : you made a mistake in the part 3

The command to type is :

fastboot -i 0x19D2 flash recovery recovery.img (If you don't rename the file it is recovery2.img)

    fastboot -i 0x19D2 reboot

Thank you for this recovery ;-)

I use flashify apk (from google store) – but phone needs to be rooted in order to use this app.  Via that we can then flash the recovery.img.  Or can check out htis video.  Hope it helps.

Thanks for both the video and the recovery file; it works perfect :-) With the Flashify app I could replace TWRP with CWM without any problems.
