Just wiped everything and resetted it back to factory settings.
Now it worked! Even I changed nothing but the language. Who cares! Now its fine!
If anyone here could possibly download this file for us… My Russian skills are very limited…

can anyone download that update.zip? I get a 404 every time. Would love to root this phone, still not using it because of a lack of it

there we go, from that Spanish forum. I have not tested it yet, my mass storage does not work.
I am beginning to really hate this phone.
Please post if that option worked with the attached zip or not.
I worked for me too.
So the steps from Nicoking:
1) Copy update.zip file to an EXTERNAL MICRO-SD (not the internal memory of the phone!)
2) Start phone, then enable USB Debugging, then go to the Security tab and authorize "Unknown Sources Installation".
3) Go to "About Phone", then "Wireless Update", then click at the top-right of the screen and select "Local Updates", then select "Update.zip". – should be on sdcar0, was in the root for me
4) Phone Reboots into factory recovery, starts flashing, stops early, reboots and I had root.
I had the original ROM and the latest update, did not use the one here and did not need to restore to factory settings
