Should be able to drag it to the trash like any other homescreen object. Just hold down on google search box, then drag to the trash.

Spoke too soon…just flashed the rom and see that it indeed can't be removed…or moved at all. Great ROM though…nice work. I need to explore more…but one question remains before I can really begin to love my phone. Has anyone found a way to improve WiFi reception. I have tried various attempts with aluminum foil with no luck. This is the only hiccup which keeps me from wanting to keep my phone for a while.

Just got my DG800 yesterday.  Same problem. Downloaded zip twice,  aborts immediately.  My base is DOOGEE-VALENCIA-DG800-Android4.4-2014_07_02.  Do I need to install the recovery ROM first?  I'm bit of a noobe.
