    Failed to install.

First tried windows, but failed to install the MT driver.

Then using linux flashtool seemed to work, at least returned with success. But then when I wanted to start recovery, first time it was normal boot, next times it was red "!" coming out of the belly of the green android.

Then tried fastboot, but fastboot only gave me some error message, along the lines, that it can't write to the destination.

I don't know what I did wrong, because I followed the steps, and according to the comments I seem to be the only one without success. Anyway, I gave up at this point.

I gave it a second chance, this time issued "fastboot oem unlock" before the other fastboot commands.

I didn't receive any error messages now from the next fastboot commands, so I successfully bricked my phone!

It does not want to start, does not want to give me recovery, nothing. It just displays the logo then blank, then logo, then blank,…

So my suggestion is not to use this image unless you really have to or have lots of money to burn. I don't know what went wrong in my case, but the same may go wrong in your case too. I will try if I can unbrick using the custom rom and will never ever try flashing any phone again. Simply not worth it.

Finally managed to unbrick using official ROM!

Couple of hours wasted, having a bad time while assuming I bricked my phone, but I learned the lesson!

No one can guarantee you anything, and maybe this only works with my device/firmware combination and not yours. Getting root is risky, on the other side you can’t remove the installed baidu crap phoning home to china without root, and personally I also want to get rid of the google apps that are invading my privacy.

My phone is a T5 (no lite/s) Build 20161210. Flashing with fastboot worked without any problem.
    – I asume you know how to get into recovery-menu via your phones buttons
    – I asumed you know how to unlock your bootloader (before that save all data from your phone, it will get deleted):
    1. allow unlocking the bootloader in the developer-menu
    2. fastboot oem unlock
    – I asume you make yourself familar with the use of fastboot before using it and double-check every command.
    3. fastboot erase recovery
    4. fastboot flash recovery twrp.img (where “twrp.img” is the path to your twrp-image)

Same here, tried flashing it through both fastboot and SP Flash Tool method, seemingly successfully flashed, but all I get is the stock recovery. I've read that I supposed to boot right into recovery after flashing, but that doesn't work, however I try. It either skips bootloader and boots normally, or just boots to stock recovery. I don't know what I did wrong, but this shouldn't be so hard…

    Works on DOOGEE T5S. Thanks.

BTW: Flashed in bootloader mode (fastboot).

    Remember to install SuperSU patch.

I tried all recovery.img-versions you can find searching the Internet:
This one is the only that works for 20161210-firmware of the Doogee T5!
I reflashed the original firmware 20161210, which is also available at needrom after countless attempts with other versions (I literally tried to root the phone for two days without success).
Booted it one time to verify it's function, flashed this recovery and boom: new recovery working and I was able to install SuperSU Pro v2.78-SR1 and XPosed Framework without any problems.
I hope needrom will add more ways to pay any time soon – I only paid because of frustration and to give it a last chance… was fully worth it though!
I was really close to send the phone back, but now I'm happy!
