      Please help. I am about to flash my Goophone S8 because it has a lock screen saying,

      "Please Enter the Privacy Protection Password to Unlock"

      The phone belongs to me. but after changing SIM cards this screen came up.

      I have put my other SIM card back in, but that was no help. (I have two different phones two different SIM cards with Tmobile here in USA)

      I have tried all kinds of passwords, to no avail.

      I have tried going to Tmobile, but as soon as they see i have a knockoff S8 they just get snooty and uncooperative.
      The Tmobile rep says they cannot help me, because I have a chinese phone.
      Is this the numbers you are asking for?  Are you in the same lock sceen as me?
      PLease if you have found the numbers or password that opens this phone, please pass it along.

      Thank you in advance,

      Perry in FL

      P.S. If this is not your problem, and your question about an activation code has something to do with flashing a ROM onto these phones,

      I am about to attempt to do that since I cannot get past this "Privacy Protection Screen".
      Where in the process or how did you encounter this probelm such that you need an "Activation code"?
      I do not want to beging the flash process if I am going to need an activation code.

      Please advise, any and all that can help,

      Thank you,

      What is "nivarm"?  I am unable to find the meaning on Google. Is that the name of the Custom ROM?

      Thank you in advance,

      The best tool I have found for flashing custom ROMs onto Android with Windows is SP Flash Tool.

      You can get it here;

      I am very grateful to the OP for finding and posting the ROM for my Goophone S8. I have thanked him, but also it is nice to be able to help you, since this thread was very helpful for me. I had the flash tool but not the ROM.

      Thank you again OP!
      And good luck to you Sir.
      Please let me know how it goes.
      Have a nice day :)

      In my research I have found for a Real Samsung you must use something called "ODIN" to flash a new ROM.

      If your phone is a real Samsung. This may be your problem.

      I have been learning all kinds of new things in my desperate attept to get around this "privacy protection screen" on my Goophone S8  :(

      Hopefully i have been of some help to you Sir,

      P.S. here is a definition of ODIN I foind on the site HOW-TO-GEEK;

      What Is Odin?

      Odin is a Windows-based program that automates the process of flashing firmware to Samsung’s Android-based devices. It’s not intended for consumers: the tool is meant for Samsung’s own personnel and approved repair centers. All the versions of Odin that have leaked on the Internet are posted to enthusiast sites and user forums, specifically for the purpose of end users to repair or customize their devices.
