Features ROM:
Note that there are two different examples of G3:
1) G3
2) G3N
1) has a chipset MT6620
2) has a chipset MT6628
how to recognize: all devices with build (in product info): 20130223-071508 G3N and later fitted with a chip MT6628, the oldier mount MT6620 chipset
the roms for the G3 are not compatible with the G3N and vice versa
differences:
flashate if a wrong rom (for example a rom on G3N G3) not work properly: WIFI, BT, FM radio and GPS, so if you do not work none of this hardware, you probably have the wrong rom, download the one for the other device and riflashate .

IN MY ROMS JB 4.1.2 The Tethers ARE PERFECTLY WORKING!
settings added:
in developer options: factory mode and engineermode launcer;
in management sim, dualsim Ringer settings
fixato dualsim ringer and added some scripts to:
optimize and speed up your system: Zipalign, optimization and system ram, and supercharger
(If you do a restore after the installation you lose a part of the supercharger script …..)
more … in: -> tethering / portable hotspot: Ervius tether natter settings
updated boot logo, changing image!
applications that are put in settings are invisible in "programs"
optimized still the build.prop, and, of course the old changes:
reduction to 10 ms vibrio button operation
SMS long (No more self-transformation in mms sopo 3 concatenated SMS!)
extended PowerMenu (adding the "recovery" to reboot in recovery mode)
disbilitato the red LED to charge less than 15%
stretched to 5 seconds the flashing LED notifications (blue and green!)
dialer buttons marked.
ATTENTION ALL ROMS MAKE A FULL WIPE! (Before flashing make a full backup of your system and data)
you can 'perform two types of installations for the roms
a) clean istall: installed the rom from recovery modded!
b) istall with recovery: from clockwork mod, make a backup (only data and cache), installed the rom, you restore and reboot, you will have all vistri data and programs but on a brand new rom!
PS: If you come from a ICS 4.0.4, nn do a restore after you have installed the 4.1.2 JB, or the phone to reboot will go in boot-loop (nn will start and you will have to reflash the rom!)

Install ROM:
Only add to the procedure used with Recovery LEWA:
1) Backup essential, always.
2) Factory reset
3) Wipe Dalvik cache and cache
4) Install zip (Rom)
5) Wipe cache and Dalvik cache
6) Reboot
So start the first time, quickly and completely clean.
With Titanium restore all your applications.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM
for G3 of course
for G3, no red led blink if battery < 15%, yet present in this rom….
its true sorry…its ok… when put to charge the phone and the clock display, the phone is set to 250 MHz instead of 1001 MHz … this could be done automatically?

I use it now for 5 days and I don't have any big issues yet.
I am using it in German language. Going to the settings and developer options I can see some remaining Italian words: Panello Debug (Settaggi Panello Deug), Engineer Mode (Settagi Engineer Mode) and Factory Mode ( Settagi Factory Mode). And it's the same if I switch to English. Settaggi should get translated to Settings (in German "Einstellungen") and Pannello should get translated to Panel (in German "Feld" – Settaggi Panel = "Einstellungsfeld").

But I have a question: I cannot toggle data connection on/off with an tool like llama, this one toggles the symbol in the status bar, but has no effect on the data connection at all. Also widgets like "Data on/off" have the same effect.
This worked on android 4.0.4-version. Is this an restriction of 4.1.2 or a known bug?

Is there any way to make that volume keys wake the phone when it's locked? I have tried the file of the first page (http://www.4shared.com/zip/KHa.....keup_4_1_2.html) but It doesn't work.

uhmmm… I've ready new version of rom, some hours and I'll update, and the patch will be compatible for both roms G3 and G3N…..
new releases: 10 April, only a Rom,for G3, and, if you have a G3N , install G3 rom, and apply G3 to G3N transformer Pack, if want volume keys for wakeyp, install also the wakeup patch.
that's all!!!

I have the 6620 G3 jiayu that I have to unburden files to install the rom on my phone?
Hi Ervius, the application i'm using is called "llama". You can find in google play store. And two things doesn't work anymore. First: Dis-/enabling of Data mode (swichting data on and of) shows the symbol for "done", but have no effect. Second: The application is used to recognize, when the radio cells is changing, and doing something like swich WLAN on if you're at home. But this also doesn't work anymore (if the g3 is in sleeping mode).
To the first topic: I tried other tools, like the widget "data switch" or "Daten ON-OFF" and these also doesn't work. Only way to toggle Data mode is the android based function inside. But this is not a 4.1 restiction. On Samsung phones with 4.1 Llama works.
Hope, you can find the error on that.

Just tryed Llama, and when I tap on silence mode, the phone goes into silent mode…. just 5 minutes test, but seems to work….., maybe you have to configure also dualsim ringer to "follow" telephone volume……
Llama Volume control works fine, that is not the problem. Switching "Data connection" via Llama doesn't work at all. And this also doesn't work with a widget like "data switch".
Llama also doesn't recognize a change of the cell, also doesn't work with Cell polling is active. For this, automatically switching the volume by leaving home or work doesn't work and I really loved that!
The G3N rom is good, but wakeup patch don't work.
Sorry, this rom is very good for my g3n: the new rom (2013.04.10)+transformer pack+wake up patch. The older rom is not working with wake up patch. Sorry, sorry!
Is it necessary to make factory reset in order to install the new update?
both roms make a full wipe, same as factory reset…..
