Goto to Settings -> Developer Settings -> Enable Root
*Regarding permission manager
If you dont want constant popups regarding permission's seelct "Trust App" when installing the app
*If faced with any problems
"Wipe Dalvik Cache" under "Advance" of CWM Recovery
*If you face the error "process.android.acore" stopped working
Wipe your data and then flash your ROM
*If the lock screen does not control the music App
Goto to Security -> Device Administrators -> Select Lock Screen
*Suggestions Section in laucher
Goto Launcher settings by pressing the menu key in the home screen
*To change to default stock AOSP locksceen
Use root explorer -> Goto System – App -> Rename LeWaLocksceen.apk & LeWaLocksceen.odex to LeWaLocksceen.apk.bak & LeWaLocksceen.odex.bak

Nice to see you have provided update to Lewa OS for Lava Iris 501,
I am already using Lewa OS since couple of months on Iris 501, and its best for your day to day usage.
Was having issues with GPS and the Toggle Buttons on Drop Drop Notification window.
Downloading now, and will update here with details of any performance enhancements I experience.
my current Lewa Installation was very fine tuned by me, happy to have this update.

I tried V5 and the GOPS patc provided, except "GPS searching" problem, every thing is fine.
Do something for GPS
I've looked into the GPS and have made the necessary changes V7 will have the changes noted.
Does V6 includes the GPS patch. And what is the procedure for flashing he GPS patch, may be I did it wrongly. I flashed the patch right after the ROM. and then rebooted it.
Using V5 update is Good, stable but needs some fixes.
also please release Incremental updates, downloading 200+ MB is a mess.
many places still Include chinese text, please edit/replace these apps.
Camera is 5MP not 8MP, any details how to increase quality.
Gallery/Camera Crashes, you need to use task killer or reboot to be able to use it again.
Over all, better performance than what Lewa from Akash was,
V4 comprices of the 8mpx camera app which has loads of crashes, hence the old camera profile was restored. If you had selected ZSD in the camera App it crashes, goto Settings -> Application -> Gallery -> Delete Data, everything will be fine then on. DONOT USE ZSD function for now. V7 will be the final complete package with approx 270mb in size the future updates will be incremental.
when i played any game is says low memory and game is not working
Use http://www.droidiser.com/2013/.....al-storage.html to increase the App storage to 2GB by partioning the internal SD Card.
Utalise the Project XTreme App under V6 update and select All the options, Reboot play the game. Performance will be better and low memory will be off.
If there is a particular App you dont want to be removed from processing, select the LOCK button by brining the recents drawer (Home key Hold)
Any thing about native vdieo calling option
LeWa OS does not support the video calling funtionality, so don't count on it.
Great to see developments happening in for this master piece…I was searching for XDA from many days but did not find much happening but eventually ended up here and really glad to register here & hope good work for our IRIS501 keeps rocking…

I have tried almost every rom for IRIS 501 & did V7 too yesterday. Excellent work by developers but am not much used to big icons as due to resolution limitations on our IRIS 501 we already have bigger icons & LEWA adds more to the size…No doubt user interface is good as its based on 4.1.2 but still I would suggest developers & other friends to give this rom a try which i have uploaded on XDA. Its super super smooth with crispy look. Am posting forum link below from where it can be downloaded.

Due to RAM limitations I hardly doubt even 4.2.2 is possible in the IRIS, Fingers crossed.
Now to tell the truth about V7
GPS is still as is was. Its about 5 minutes google maps / GPS is still searching
Mobile uncle shows the chipset as UNKNOWN – V6 was showing the chipset number and was connecting to GPS
Gallery is in chinese
Not removed the recommended screen (we are not chinese)
No google Play store or Gmail or Google apps including Maps
Its sorry to say … previous versions were better….

Plus it also detected ion which data plan was I on, now it is silent and waits for my input…
I don't think this phone would ever be able to Get 4.2 or 4.3 as update, as most devices running that Android version needs 1GB of physical RAM, which is the only drawback of this phone.
I do feel some MTK developer might be able to strip down a 4.2. for this phone, but its currently not looking to happen on any forum.
I customized the version 5, I downloaded and tweaked few system settings, and not going to update it anytime soon.
Although if someone can help I would certainly be happy to make a update patch which would remove the chinese stuff from phone.
Users also need to check, I doubt the newly added contacts may be lost due to sync error shown under the settings->Accounts.
Always do keep a backup, I use titanium backup as its the best tool for backup.
V8 is now out, Gallery App and calculator has been translated, and the data plan toggle has been fixed under framework.
GPS does work if you had updated EPO settings kindly refer the description.
