Thanks for the update file. Mine was 5.8 before. Downloaded the file and renamed it to update.zip.

After that move the file to the root of storage then powered off the device.

Go to recovery mode (power + vol up) and did the update. Fingers crossed and my device updated to the latest 5.9. Hooray!!

No got some chinese bloatware (original software with update function available). All my apps including my playstore were still intact.

    Updating procedure:

    1. Download the file.

2.Rename to update.zip (located in Download folder).

    3. Move it to root directory of storage.

    4. Power OFF Device.

    5. Press Power ON + Volume Up.

    6. Start Update. (Takes around 10 –15 Minutes, mine was lower than 10 minutes, –didn't count though)

    7. Finger Crossed.

    8. After succesful update, and ORANGE STATE ENABLED (BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED) do the following:

      i. Go to Setting >About Phone >Tap 5+ times on the Build Number (Enable Developer Mode).
ii. Connect Computer with ADB installed (Google on how to install and setup ADB on your PC/Notebook).
iii. With ADB installed, lauch command prompt.
iv. Type "adb devices"your device should be shown if installed correctly.
      v. Type "adb reboot bootloader"your device will be booted to FASTBOOT MODE.
vi. Once in FASTBOOT MODE, type "fastboot oem device-info"your device "bootloader status should be: true"
vii. Lock the BOOTLOADER (Orange state) with typing "fastboot oem lock". It will start lock flow and will go to OKAY [ x.xxxs].
viii. Again do the "fastboot oem device-info"your device bootloader will be: false.
     ix. Finally type "fastboot reboot"
      x. The Orange State should be gone already.
xi. Do factory reset if you want your device doesn't show the DEVELOPER OPTION.

Hello, I'm new to this kind of thing, can somebody please explain are the steps after the step number 8 required or the phone can work normally after that? From what I understood the orange warning disappears after 10 seconds and the phone boots normally.

After typing "fastboot oem device-info", it says "<waiting for any device>". I've still got the orange state.

I've managed to fix my problem. For those who are stuck in <waiting for any device>, you install the update on windows update and then you'll see "TP-LINK –Other hardware –Android Bootloader Interface". :)
