    Hello dannyd,

can u find out, how big your system partition is? To do so you need the MTKDroid Tool v2.5.3 or higher. If Link is'nt working google it ;)

After unpacking it, start it and plug in your phone. Let the Tool work. Than go to the "Block Mappe" (a button close to the bottom) and you see the "Partition" Table of your phone. Scroll down until you see in the "mount point" collumn the "/system", go to the left in that row where the size is…and you see it. If it's over 1073741824 byte (like on my phone) then you are on the safe side.

But this does'nt mean, that you can install this ROM onto your phone. Because it's a different Processor. Try to contact the Porter of your ROM in the above posted needrom link.

I do'nt know if Vell can help here.

    Hi there,

    Here a feedback on my Zopo C2 1GB/4GB MTK8589.

I updated to 6.3.10 V37 miui.su with dreamer7 kernel. and then i made restore from miui cloud backup, everything was ok, unless one issue, the same. LED management won't work. so I had, to do it as last time. re-install everything as a fresh install.

DON'T use restore from miui cloud your desktop / apps / settings, on C2 config, LED lighting management won't work.

So it seems the miui cloud backup doesn’t work correctly.
Well,skystar91, was your first run in updating to the newest with full wipe or only cache + dalvic, because you don’t need to wipe all (factory reset) if you update this Rom, wiping the cache+dalvic cache is enough, so you keep all you apps and there positions after update is completed.
But plz. do a twrp Backup before update the Rom.

    Hi Dave,

it is litlle bit more complex in my case ;-)

As I have a ext4 SD partition to extend the ROM partition, and most of the apps are linked(stored physically) to that partition, by doing the update leads to a new issue. For sure i will have everything in place ( desktop, settings, working leds ;-) ) BUT , i have another issue which is not severe or blocking, but tricky let's say :

At every cold start ( reboot ), i will have the miui splash scree, and then a black screen with a kind of small status bar which take a while to finish before having first main menu desktop of MIUI. I searched on the web and I couldn't figure out why this happen, at every startup, when we have an updated the system with external partition already in use. The only way, to avoid that is to reset to default and re-create the EXT4 SD partition for ROM extetion and then i have a normal boot ( shotest ): Splash screen animation then MIUI main menu desktop.

If you could know how can i overcome that of having the second boot screen with a progress bar, this will solve all my issues. Just follow Vell's update , that's it ! ( I guess that it is a kind of linker of dex …. but why it is done at every startup )

P.S.: if i do a fresh install and recover from cloud, i don't have this issue, but now i have the led issue using the cloud update….

Found this in the link2sd FAQ, maybe it helps?

      Q. I upgraded/changed my ROM and I can not see my linked apps, their files are on the 2nd partition but the system can not see the apps. How can I make them available, do I need to reinstall and relink them again?
No, if you didn’t wipe data when updating ROM the only thing you need to do is to run “Recreate mount scripts” from “menu -> more” within Link2SD and do a normal (not quick) reboot.
If you wiped data, after executing “Recreate mount scripts” and rebooting, run “Relink all application files” from “menu -> more” and then reboot. All of your linked apps should be available again after reboot.
If you also wiped dalvik-cache, in addition to the above step run “Link dalvik-cache files”.

      Hello sagope,

did you use the MIUI Camera app or a 3rd party app from the AppStore? Because the buildin App of MIUI does work verry good and it focus verry well. You have to put with your finger where you wanne have the focus, try it if'nt allready.

If the "Error" still exist, try to install another kernel like the dreamer kernel.

The ROM u downloaded has a shortened language set now, see post above, Vell posted it.

      Hi Dave

I'm using the MIUI Camera. I put my finger where I want to have the focus but it doesn't work. How can I install another kernel. Where can I download it? And I downloaded de miui.su version because I read than there are a lot of languages in this version. In v37 spanish language was included in it but not in v38

      Regards

      Hello souits,

as far as i know does'nt Vell translate the ROM, it is verry difficult and he and i did try it out since xiaomi.eu stop'ed the translation support for our base MIUI ROM. We could'nt find out how we could get a stable running translated ROM.

So the translated ROM Versions you see are all from different Groups of people who translate the Base ROM and Vell uses this Base Rom's to build a ROM usable for our Zopo-Phone.

The only way to get the greek language into it, is to ask the Groups if they can do it for us.

Or Vell has some other ideas :)
