   v1.2 Update review…

   Can confirm signal strength is back to normal..
   SmartWake is not working for me…

     I have v1.2 as well, and signal is NOT back in normal for SIM1.

   First of all, thank you for this great rom.

   I've experienced a problem in my Jiayu G4S with salamander rom. I cannot create a wifi to use in my tablet data from my Smartphone.

   It’s a bug of this Rom? Could someone give some piece of advice to get data from my cell phone into my tablet?

   Any help will nice, thanks a lot.

   Hello, I am currently on 4.4.2.

   Can anyone please tell me if its OK for me to install this ROM from recovery of the 4.4.2?

     if using a g4s, you are right here. Do the backups, Titanium and Recovery, save a cpoy to your pc! Then run setup, if u can’t reboot to Recovery to start Update 1.2, install mobiluncle and google g4scarliv. Install it and u will have back a recovery to run Update 1.2. Maybe, u have to use the Hardbuttons for Navigating in Menue – only this time. Good luck, u will get a fine phone.

     I have currently upgraded to the chilapos ROM 4.4.2 and installed carliv recovery.

     I am finding chilapos quite nice, I will stay on it, and continue following your instructions when am ready for Salamandor 4.4.4 ROM Upgrade.

   good friend later saw that u told here to another friend to install this rom its belissima we would have to spend the rom 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 custom rom went here on the site but found the site of jiayu not be but providing it. you would have this custom rom 4.4.2 to provide for me hugs and great job .

   Running this rom now some weeks, always stable and good coverage on wifi and cell phone on both Sims. No Action by Smartwake is only a nano bug, prefer real Buttons. Only GPS keeps gambling.

   for GPS:

   and paste into  into /data/misc and set correct permissions for both files.

   Than add gps.conf file into /system/etc (set correct permission) wich contains the following lines (but change NTP_SERVER "xx" to your contry: see under active serverser e.g. here:  http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/#li.....nks), than restart.:

   XTRA_SERVER_1=http://epodownload.mediatek.com/EPO.DAT

   XTRA_SERVER_2=http://epodownload.mediatek.com/EPO.DAT

      first fix needs some time (ca. a minute), than it is quite fast, for me (with settings above)

     I used ‘Faster GPS’ for downloading EPO.DAT and fixing NTP_SERVER to de.pool.ntp.org. It works, your solution seems to be faster. But accuracy still keeps the real prob. With ‘GPS Test’ i’m close to 4 meters, but navigating in car keeps crazy, always jumping between nearby roads. Using ‘Navigon’, better app known for MTK chip?
