Official ROM from september 2017.
One version is for TWRP, other is for Flashtools.
Note: Seems that this ROM is clean from viruses, but maybe is there some malware and it will be activated through a some time. "Virus remover" patches will not help for this ROM, but maybe a "remover of stuff" will remove most of unwanted apps.

What I did for flashing TWRP for this September Rom.
1-Download the Recovery TWRP
2-Rename it as "Recovery"
3-Flash it with SP Flash Tools: Use "Download only" and just tick the "recovery" square…leave all the rest without.
4-Press Vol+ and On button from X5 Max Pro…and it should bring you to the screen where you can select "recovery" (Select Vol +, intro Vol-)
5-TWRP should load and work.
Finally I managed to flash this rom + TWRP + Supersu in order to uninstall gapps and Fota provider just in case. Everything is ok at he moment but I notice this rom is a bit slower when switching between screens. I see this when I go in/out of settings options and when I enter the passcode in the lockscreen for example. I don't know if this is normal in this rom or I did something wrong…. or it is maybe my phone:)
Im my case it is faster now than before.
So far so good, the phone is still working as a charm, no extra programs installed, no unwanted advertisements.
Still not rooted but my X5 Max Pro came with this version of stock rom. My only problem is the fingerprint scanner. It constantly wakes my device and when connected to a charger, it slows down the charging speed. And sometimes the scanner won’t work. But everything else is fine and stable.
It’s the hardware problem, just turn off fingerprint function. Dont use the fingerprint.
This is the best rom available for Doogee X5 MAx Pro. Very fast, no bugs and no virus. I flashed it by TWRP.
To root it, use SuperSU-v2.82, because with other versions it won't work and the phone will freeze on boot.

After root, I also recomend to use F-Droid to install Adaway and block ads. It makes the phone even faster.

Hello, I don't have windows: is it possible to flash this rom from linux?
SP Flash Tool is also available for Linux. I f you use Arch or Manjaro you can install with the AUR (Arch User Repository).

My main OS is Linux Mint 18.2 MATE, but for flashing I am using some crappy OS known as Windows or something like that.
And yes…there is Flashtool for Linux, but I didnt test it.
I downloaded FT version then put scatter file into Smart Phone Tool but something's not right.
I can't tick boxes on the left.
What's going on?
