A patch with some new features will roll out soon!
Thanks for shanos and safcalibur for testing out the many beta versions!
Tengda S5 Android L (5.0) ROM (4.4.2Base) (G9000)
Phone identification name: 706_v92_jbla_fhd
About the ROM:
- Android L themed (the base of the ROM is still 4.4.2)
- Custom touch recovery which has built in File manager, and finally the USB Storage Mounting works…
- Pre-installed apps (Chrome, SuperUser, BusyBox, ES File Manager, Google Now Launcher)
- Fully rooted, busybox installed, and filesystem fully RW.
- Xposed framework and modules to customize your phone!
Changelog:
- Advanced Power Menu
- Heads up notifications! (Can be disabled in GravityBox)
- Added Xposed Framework fully working!
- Xposed Modules: GravityBox, SDcardfix, Ex-Themer, BurntToast
- Modules are visible in system settings
- Added fully working Android L camera (stock camera still present because S View uses it)
- KK Launcher L is set as default to avoid Google Launcher force closing. You can set Google Launcher as default after updating Google Search from Google play!
- Heading towards Android L (5.0) about 60% done. More details below.
- System now shows that you have the Android L version, like on the Nexus 5.
- Replaced Root Explorer with ES File Manager (its more compatible with the filesystem)
- Added GPS Fix
- Fixed signal color in status bar so it matches the wifi and the battery.
- Added back the stock Browser alongside Chrome (got many requests)
- Fixed some visual and non-visual bugs
Android L features at the moment:
- Google Now Launcher (Can be activated by updating Google Search)
- Boot logo and animation
- Ringtones, notifications, alarms and system sounds
- Android L material keyboard
- Google Play Services updated (no noticable change, just needed for the L stuff)
Things I'm working on:
- Android L camera (its almost done will be added in next update) done
- L lockscreen and statusbar and systemUI (I very very hard and time consuming…)
- Xposed Framework and some must-have modules (still in testing state) done
How to install the ROM:
Download HOW TO INSTALL.pdf for very detailed instructions with pictures!
Be sure that your battery is charged more than 50% before flashing.
If you have any questions post them in the comments!
I will do my best to update the rom with new features!
Known issues:
- When you are in recovery and you hit reboot it always ask if you want to fix the root or not, just ignore it, doesnt matter if you hit Yes or No nothing will happen.
- You can still only wipe data/cache on the Stock recovery!
If you find anything that is not listed above, message me and I'll try to fix it.
I'm also taking suggesting for what to include in the rom!
Donations are welcome and will affect future updates!
Donators can also request a custom boot logo and
animation!
Big thanks to MasterBo for helping me with a lot of things!

Hi
i will try to fix the imei(i have imei invalid with this rom and not with the jelly bean rom)i try to fix with this code:
*#*#3646633#*#*
CONNECTIVITY>cds information>radio information>phone 1>AT+E>AT+EGMR=1,7,"" and i key in the imei(AT+EGMR=1,7,"my imei code")after this,i have this error message"this command is not allowed in UserBuild".
My question is anyone have fixed imei with this rom(i try mtk tools and uncletools but without any result)?
I changed my google account p/w which seemed to work for a while and the error again, will do as you suggest in your previous post dpluss and let you know.
thank you for the advice
Saf
If its not working, try uninstalling google search from the apps, then remove acc clear data of the google play and the services, reboot to recovery, wipe dalvik cache, reboot, readd acc, and download google search from there.
@conestosse
You can find your IMEI number behind the battery.
Launch MTK Tools, connect your phone and wait until it reads out the info. Then click the "IMEI/NVRAM" button next to the IMEI numbers, and write the IMEIs you see on the back of your phone, and hit replace. This should work.
If not, then reboot to recovery, and in MTK Tools hit the ADB button and type:
adb shell
When the shells up type:
cd /data
rm nvram
Then reboot the phone and hopefully it readds the factory nvram info
Just got an error 403 while downloading stuff on the appstore, tried a dalvik wipe and cache wipe, managed to download some apps, and now have this error when trying to download a game: "Error while retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC-0]"
I keep getting md5 mismatch. I followed all d steps explained and I have been waiting for this ROM for so long.
Someone help me pls!
Download the rom again, its either you have cwm recovery instead of carliv, or the files been corrupted. Safcalibur had the same issue I dont know how he fixed it, ask him mate! If everything fails then go to the folder you have extracted and you will find a file called "nandroid.md5" open it with notepad++ and delete all its content then save it and put it on your phone and try flashing it again
I have got problems installing "Carliv Touch recovery" image using Smath Phone Flash Tools as in the pdf:
i Obtain the message: "PMT changed for the rom; it must be downloaded"
Can u help me?
Thanks in advance
I looked into this problem, are you sure you have the exact same phone what the roms for? because this error only occurs when the scatter file is not for your device. Please check in setting that your phones model is 706_v92_jbla_fhd
I had this issue. You can get around this by using the scatter file of another working ROM. Then untick all boxes except recovery and click on the file path of the recovery and change to the carliv recovery.img
GPS is not working. Tried every possible guide, gps fix, faster gps, mobileuncle etc. It was easy & fast with 4.2, now in the same exact conditions it is impossible. Sometimes it fixes than immediately looses the fix.
While fixing the major stuff I didnt even check the GPS yet, I added the gps fix app so I can work with it in the future but I didnt had time for it because I had to fix a numerous amount of bugs. I will eventually get to the GPS issue too.
Im really working hard on this firmware, and I try to focus on donating members suggestions and requests.
i don,t know why, but in your roms always i have a problem about the phone don't reconize the sin and asking to put pin code, and this happen in ramdom, don't have any tip about what this happens ???
sadly this is a kitkat bug, I get this all the time(I dont have PIN code so I only get notifications about it), the phone remounts the simcards after awhile. I will try to fix it but I dont make any false promises.
A temporary solution for this is to disable the PIN code on your SIM card, so when this remount occurs you dont need to enter your PIN again.
I am also having issues with the. Playstore,I thought it was due to being on holiday and using data roaming. I am not too worried as I know dpluss has the skills to fix pretty much anything (just need to look how far the ROM has come in such a short time).
Shanos
I got the issue too btw, what worked for me:
- Go to Settings-Applications-All
- Find Google Play, Google Services and Google framework (they are below eachother)
- Clear Data on each of the. (Google Sevices will open another setting window, scroll down and hit delete data)
- Go back to Settings and find your google account, tap it and delete your acc.
- Reboot the phone in recovery, wipe menu – wipe dalvik cache.
- Restart the phone, and readd your account by opening Google Play in applications.
Let me know if this worked!
