DESCRIPTION

If donations reach $50 from now, I will start the TouchWiz ROM ASAP and upload it.

Tengda S5 Android L (5.0) ROM (4.4.2Base) (G9000)

Phone identification name: 706_v92_jbla_fhd

About the ROM:

- Android L themed (the base of the ROM is still 4.4.2)

- Custom touch recovery which has built in File manager, and finally the USB Storage Mounting works…

- Pre-installed apps (Chrome, SuperUser, BusyBox, ES File Manager, Google Now Launcher)

- Fully rooted, busybox installed, and filesystem fully RW.

- Xposed framework and modules to customize your phone!

Changelog:

- Advanced Power Menu

- Heads up notifications! (Can be disabled in GravityBox)

- Added Xposed Framework fully working!

- Xposed Modules: GravityBox, SDcardfix, Ex-Themer, BurntToast

- Modules are visible in system settings

- Added fully working Android L camera (stock camera still present because S View uses it)

- KK Launcher L is set as default to avoid Google Launcher force closing. You can set Google Launcher as default after updating Google Search from Google play!

- Heading towards Android L (5.0) about 60% done. More details below.

- System now shows that you have the Android L version, like on the Nexus 5.

- Replaced Root Explorer with ES File Manager (its more compatible with the filesystem)

- Added GPS Fix

- Fixed signal color in status bar so it matches the wifi and the battery.

- Added back the stock Browser alongside Chrome (got many requests)

- Fixed some visual and non-visual bugs

Android L features at the moment:

- Google Now Launcher (Can be activated by updating Google Search)

- Boot logo and animation

- Ringtones, notifications, alarms and system sounds

- Android L material keyboard

- Google Play Services updated (no noticable change, just needed for the L stuff)

Things I'm working on:

~~- Android L camera (its almost done will be added in next update)~~ done

- L lockscreen and statusbar and systemUI (I very very hard and time consuming…)

~~- Xposed Framework and some must-have modules (still in testing state)~~ done

How to install the ROM:

Download HOW TO INSTALL.pdf for very detailed instructions with pictures!

Be sure that your battery is charged more than 50% before flashing.

If you have any questions post them in the comments!

I will do my best to update the rom with new features!

Known issues:

- When you are in recovery and you hit reboot it always ask if you want to fix the root or not, just ignore it, doesnt matter if you hit Yes or No nothing will happen.

- You can still only wipe data/cache on the Stock recovery!

If you find anything that is not listed above, message me and I'll try to fix it.

I'm also taking suggesting for what to include in the rom!

I also have the Camera issue.
Before this release it was only a rear camera issue, now it's a general issue when launching it.

Good luck to solve it. For information, i found only one ROM without this issue, this is the link (it may be help you) :

  all of you who come from star and dapeng brands of this phone, the camera issue is probably hardware related… Star/Dapeng/Tengda phones all have the same specs but they may have something different… There is no fix for the camera issue, sorry :/

I've been using this rom lately and I have to say, it's great!
Working like a charm but now i have a little problem, one of my friends decided to install a cleanup tool which seems to have removed some things from the phone's software.
Now it doesn't charge with a normal charger, only when on and plugged in the computer, and the computer doesn't recognize the phone at all so i can't reflash it, the phone doesn't give these options to share data to the computer or charge only.
the computer only recognizes a SM buscontroller, not even a 'android phone' even though I have the MTK drivers installed which worked before as i flashed this ROM on the same computer, the cleanup tool seems to have deleted a USB driver in the ROM itself or something?
When the screen is off it seems to freeze alot now, other then that everything is working fine.
Maybe a .zip to install through the recovery is the fix? or another way to get it recognized to reflash it?
Someone able to help me out?

  Umm yeah, dont use cleaning stuff lol.
  well, you could either download the rom from your phone and re-flash it or put the rom on an sdcard using a adapter on your pc, then flash it from there in recovery.
  btw, if you put your phone into preloader mode, can you a rom flash via Flashtools?

Tip for those who lost either front of back cam… I had this issue once when i lost the front cam. Flash with the stock rom which is 4.2 then hopefully it will come back. Then, you can go ahead to flash with this rom. Thanks DPluss. Hope we get an update soon.

I already tried going into the recovery and loaded to ROM (2014-07-18.20.32.22) into the phone, however the same problem persists.
By going into preloader mode you mean going to Advanced and reboot in download mode? I've tried that with no succes
Do you have another option?

A Great upgrade for my Alps S5 G9000.
Compared to Stock, Android is running now absolutely smooth and stable.
Both cameras are working (only both cameras showing a max. resolution of 8MP)
For some reasons I have now problems with some WIFI networks. Connection is established but after a few minutes I cannot acces the Internet.
Also Play Store is making troubles (RPC:S-3 and RPC:S-7:AEC-0 Errors). It seems this are known problems and the the workarounds you can find are working for a while.
Over all I am now much more satisfied with this Phone!

  I once had that issue; to fix it permanently clear google cache from settings, delete your google account, then restart your phone. Login to your google account on restart, then that solved it for me.

  Sorry guys, I have a new job, it takes up lot of my time, so I dont really have any time to work on the roms, I might roll out an update when I have a little time, I got some motion blur effects working and a navigation bar to prevent the software keys from getting damaged. ( My home button is not really responsive and also when I press it, sometimes it registers as a long press)
