a version stands on my telephone: A850_ROW_S116_130922. An error goes out during setting: assert failed apply_patch_check "backuprestoreconfirmation.apk………."
This is an update to the 116 row rom , it is not a full rom.
The 116 rom will need to be as it was when installed any removal of existing software or changes will stop the update working
flash A850_ROW_S116_130922
That rom back and then apply the update , if you have any install issues.
No changes were produced. Nothing retired.
on March, 8 a telephone wanted to revive on air, there was the same error. Can first put the full rom 123?

your phone has to be running A850_ROW_S116_130922 for the update to work , i suggest anyone who is having issues is to backup to external sd and reflash with A850_ROW_S116_130922 then apply the update.
the failure could be due to updates over the existing rom apps which have changed something version number etc.
in my case i removed the original calendar , so after reflashing the update worked.
On my device is installed :
Baseband: A850.ROW.V17, 2013/09/22 22:41
Compilation: A850_ROW_S116_130922

Here is the step to update (I tested it):
1. Must be install Lenovo A850 ROM ROW Official Stock S116. Link: https://www.needrom.com/mobile.....enovo-a850-row/
2. After that, copy update.zip file to sdcard.
3. Restart your phone, press and hold the volume button when your device restart. It'll be looking for the file zip to update. Waiting the 5-10 minutes to complete the update.
This ROM not supports use of SD as internal memory.

Before you upgrade which is ROM version you're using?? It's must be ROM version like that:

Compilation: A850_ROW_S116_130922
If not this ROM version, please download and install "Lenovo A850 ROM ROW Official Stock S116" first. After that go to the next step.
Noted: In instruction upgrade ROM version "Lenovo A850 ROM ROW Official Stock S116" as below as, remember click "Download" in step 2, it'll be erase chinese version on your phone.

Instruction upgrade ROM S116:
Step 01:
- Run Flash_tool.exe
- Select MT6582_Android_scatter in uncompressed target_bin.7z folder
- Choose Option -> USB Mode, click USB Mode
- Choose Option -> DA DownLoad All -> Speed -> High Speed -> click High Speed
- Check option "DA DL All With Check Sum" if it's not checked.
- Click "Firmware Upgrade" BEFORE CONNECTING YOUR PHONE
- Check your phone is off and battery is removed.
- CONNECT YOUR PHONE VIA USB when FlashTools shows "Searching"
- Wait Flash, when a green circle appears, you must DISCONNECT your Phone from USB.
Step 02:
- Still stay in Flash tool screen, Check option "DA DL All With Check Sum" if it's not checked.
- Click "Download" BEFORE RECONNECTING YOUR PHONE
- Check your phone is off and battery is removed.
- CONNECT YOUR PHONE VIA USB when FlashTools shows "Searching"
- Wait Flash
- When a green circle appears, you can disconnect USB, reseat the battery and power up your device. It will take several minutes for it to boot up.
