Member Info
Just bought a new Acer Iconia One 10 with the ROM version completely matching Acer_AV0M0_B3-A30_RV06RC01_WW_GEN1.
As soon as I hit the "Downlaod", an error window popup titled "ERROR: S_BROM_DOWNLAOD_DA_FAILED (2004)", with {H/W], [HINT] and [ACTION] indicating that the usb connection is broken, and in the bottom red progress bar center "Download DA 100%", as attached screenshot.
The device went into normal power on. Judging from the sound from Windows 10, the usb connection seemed to be going through on/off cycle several times until the device completely on.
I tried manual adb command "adb reboot bootloader" while the device is on and connected (as verified by "adb devices"), and found the usb connection indeed disconnected immediately after that "adb reboot bootloader" command. Then the device went black out with a line "FASTBOOT mode…" at the bottom of the screen, and stayed there forever.
Plaese help. Thank you.
Are you for sure that it is the B3-A30 and not the B3-A20?? I have the A20 and am considering upgrading to this ROM but i have no clue. I know there are tutorials on how to do this… the one that I followed i had to download and install some drivers to my windows ten in order for my system to recognize the device (Mediatek chipset is not by default recognizable to windows). That might be why you were having issues with the usb connection. The other possibility is that you have the wrong ROM, I know I have seen in forum a TON of people who downloaded the stock rom for the A3-A20 or A3-A30 and had a really bad time with that. this link will bring you to the tutorial page and information to download the vCom drivers and how to do it in windows 10 properly.
I hope this helps and if you were able to solve your problem if you could reply with your solution that would be spectacular…
Thank you for the help. Not been able to resolve the problem though. My device is definitely an Acer B3-A30, as the attached screenshot shown.
I have tried the Windows 10 MTK VCOM USB Drivers from technonote.com, the MTK Driver Auto Installer from needrom.com here, and the official usb driver from http://www.tabletennis.su/Acer.....A30/USB_Driver/
All resulted in the same error message mentioned in my original post (in which case no extra usb drivers were installed). Any suggestions to further try beyond this point will be greatly appreciated.
i have the same problem
help please ..any sollution !
I don't know if it'll solve the problem on your tablets but on mine I solved it with this procedure:
1- on spflashtools selected the scatter file and pressed download button
2- disconnected the tablet's battery
3- keep pressed the "volume -" button and insert the micro usb cable on the charging port
4- suceed (after 5 minutes of flashing the complete flash that is almost 3GB) !!!
negative for me lods
This ROM worked for me, managed to unbrick my Acer Iconia One, thank you. In my case the trick was to keep the battery disconnected during the whole process.
Hey this rom can bypass frp?
thanks <3
