ive been having service problems with all 7.1 roms ive tried, i hope this is different.
even this tells me i can only make emergency calls. damn
check your imei by dialling *#06#.
if it shows invalid imei or there is no imei then you have to repair your imei to make calls. there are lots of methods on youtube for how to repair your imei.
and yes all nougat custom roms are having this problem. the imei gets wiped off while flashing nougat custom rom on lenovo k3 note.

I have been using AOSP ext4.3 since last two months but switched to MIUI 7.6.25 beacuse of some issues i.e. Facebook force close, wrong call timer etc. I rate AOSP 95% and MIUI 98% bug free. I thought MIUI 7.6.25 is most stable rom (perhaps yes but you have to compromise with considerable lag). Now I flash Aosp 4.5 and feeling awesome beacuse of following
* no lag
*no proximity issue
*rich customization
*latest security patch
*bug free and smooth
And greatest one is Nought
the best custom rom for lenovo k3 note in my opinion was vibesavon 3.6 on marshmallow .it had lots of functionalities and zero bugs.. lag free..
