I just flashed BV8000Pro V1.0-20180328 with SP Flash Tool

First boot took a while and the boot animation seemed very very slow, but the phone actually booted and seemed nice. If it's not the official version, it's close, since is not only in English and Chinese and it now has Google apps included.

There's no Google setup assistant on first boot, and the fingerprint sensor was not working. After rebooting once, the fingerprint sensor began to work like a charm, and kept working after subsequent reboots. As another user mentioned, the capacitive buttons have no backlight. Rebooting doesn't fix that and there's nothing on the settings to activate or deactivate it. The SOS button comes disabled by default, as in the latest Android 7 firmwares already available.

I was able to add my Google account and it seems to work fine.

The phone is not being detected by adb. I managed to get into fastboot mode (from stock recovery mode) and tried to temporarily boot into TWRP, but that didn't work, either. Finally, I was able to flash TWRP using SP Flash Tool and it worked. I then installed Magisk 16.0 and was able to root the phone.

It seems to work 99% (buttons backlight being the missing 1%). I'm now using Titanium Backup to restore the apps I used with Android 7 and I'll see if they keep working with Android 8. For a first impression, it's quite good and seems stable. When the final official version is out, I hope the bugs have been addressed. For now, if my apps work well, I'll keep this as my daily driver.

      Hi Jman0,
Should we replace the "recovery.img" from TWRP or newly flash with TWRP after complete ROM installation?

Hey there, make same like U but after magisk miss my IMEI and cannot put it back anyway … nothink works, with no root mobile cannot connect to mobile network

@wavit, it looks like within SP Flash Tool you chose "Format all + Download" instead of "Firmware upgrade". That's a known way to loose your IMEI numbers. I think there are instructions on the Blackview forum about how to recover your IMEI. I can't help you, since I never lost mine.
