DESCRIPTION

Alternative for CWM Recovery,here is Carliv Touch recovery ported to Lenovo S939 by JM(me).Fully touch function and mount usb storage.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Flash with SPFlashtools or install recovery with MobileUncle Tools(need root).

Update to v2.5:

- cleaned up the source code

- removed "wipe all" option from wipe menu

- rearanged menu order in root menu to restore CWM order
- added a "nvram backup/restore"

update to v2.4:-

Fixed catastrophe screen pixel before entering recovery.

INSTRUCTIONS:-

With SPFlashTools–

1)Need to install driver and software below in PC

- SPFlashTools v5.1352.01

2)Off phone>Run SPFlashTools>Click options-options>Download>mark DA DL All with checksum>Click scatter loading>find and choose MT6592_Android_scatter.txt>Click Download

3)Off your phone>pull out battery>connect usb…….wait till the dialog OK appear

4)Pull out usb>put the battery>and reboot to recovery by pressing and hold power+vol up+vol down…after you see a boot splash,release power n vol down but keep pressing vol up repeatly until enter recovery mode.

With MobileUncleTools–

1)Install MobileUncle on your phone- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobileuncle.toolbox

2)Download and extract Carliv Touch and copy recovery.img to root of sdcard (not in any folder)

3)Run MobileUncle and give it root permission

4)Touch Recovery Update

5)Look at Recovery file in SDCard and touch recovery.img

6)When a dialog appear,just touch OK

7)Reboot into recovery mode>choose OK or cancel…and you're done

the CT Recovery ver 2,4 resolved my problem "This package is for "S939" devices; this is a "MTK".

I tried to flash using mobileuncle but not success..why..my rom is 1417 multilanguage. Still keeping old recovery.

Help me if I understand these steps correctly.
1. Download and extract Carliv Touch Recovery V2.4 – https://www.needrom.com/wp-con.....iv_recovery.rar

6. Turn off phone > Run flash_tool.exe > Click Options – Options… > Download > Check DA DL All with checksum > Click scatter loading > Choose CTRv2.4\MT6592_Android_scatter.txt > Click Download

7. Turn off your phone > Pull out battery > Connect USB… Wait until the dialog OK appear
*** STUCK HERE *** Nothing happen when I turn off my phone and pull our battery then connect USB.
8. Pull out USB > Put the battery back > Reboot to recovery by holding power + vol up + vol down. After you see a boot splash, release power and vol down but keep pressing vol up repeatly until enter recovery mode.

  Nevermind, I managed to install this after rooting my device using Root Genius. Then install mobileuncle_MTK_toolv2.9.9.apk and update my flash recovery from that app using this carliv touch 2.4. I'm currently on 4.4.2 KitKat VibeUI now.

I try to root by genuis is done but i cant flash recovery by uncle MTK tool is "show grantmobileuncle tool to get root " and i try flash tool i'm stuck usb is not connect

Encik JM , why after flashing Carliv recovery NO, NOTHING, NADAA, ZILCH storage can be mounted? I have a seroius issue with this now I have to go back to MANNUR TWRP whch is also a problem. I dont want to use homemade CWM recovery (the one they make with MTK DroidTool)because some of them cannnot backup/restore whats the point?

  Really meh….?…… The 1st CTRv2.4_S939 had an issue with mounted,but I've already change with CTRv2.4_S939(reupload) which fixed that issue…..me also used CTRv2.4_S939(reupload) now
