not supported media…
i have googled this error. has to do with write protection of the media. setup need a temporary drive on the usb flash drive. not easy to solve what i have read. depends on stick manufacturer often.
dont know…. tried another usb drive?
my wifi adapter is back. found the right driver.
Broadcom 802.11n Wireless SDIO Adapter from Chuwi vi10 / Win10 uses the same wifi hardware
puhhh
Hi abillio,
did u get adapter error after windows update?
and how did u fix it? ive tried what u did but didnt work. i dowloaded the hi10 driver, uninstall my current driver then do a hardware change scan. can u provide me with the step-by-step tutorial in fixing this?
Thanks
Well f… ^^
I was thinking of trying it with another USB key but if you've had the same result, i guess it would be useless. There must be a way to bypass this particular problem for booting (maybe I need to learn how virtualdisk / diskpart work…). I will continue trying different things : if you find any kind of solution, dont hesitate to share it here
I will do the same thing!
Good luck!
answer from chuwi help desk with link to complete drivers, bios and rom
the install.wim is slightly bigger than the rom from here. anything else seems to be the same

i will ask them for installation instruction and will report back here
Amazing
Thank you so much
I will try the drivers right away!
Wow, Thanks Abillio, I asked Chuwi post the same stuff on their support site a couple of weeks ago but never heard back from them. Yes, instructions would be great. Thanks again, Darrell
btw
my usb-c conector is arrived and i tried to flash the rom from here.
same result as you. stops with the known message "virtual disk error ….
I am havint the same issue. Initially i wanted to install my own copy of Windows 10 professional which i did, but it is a real pain in the ass to find any drivers. I managed to get a connection from my rndis smartphone sharing internet via usb but that's it. So i decided to take the chuwi rom and reinstall with it to get the proper drivers. But i get the same error as you and it completely reformat the key each time, this is a simple error in their script but i don't know how we could modify it. Anyway, what i'm gonna try and what you should do is download, create and install with the help of usb key and the mediacreationtool that will download the correct ISO https://www.microsoft.com/fr-f.....ad/windows10ISO
Choose the 32 bits version. During the installation choose the right partition, the biggest. Once it's done, you should be able to boot in it, plug a usb with the vi8 plus drivers thanks to Abilllio and install everything. There you go. I'll keep you updated if i managed to get everything working.
remove the readonly bit from a removable media. thats our task! you find a lot of stuff out there in the net. i tried to manage this with diskpart but without succsess. especially at boot time your luck depends on the installation script. alloxrinfo, I agree. must be a bug here.
there are industrial tools to remove this bit but the effort is huge and risky.
new stuff from chuwi helpdesk
Flash instructions and a recommendation of making iso files.
