version V0.0.8 Tested by jed57x ( thx to you ) and it work.
Gapps include – No Rooted
Language support: Multilang
Install ROM:
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6582_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM
My phone has bricked.
I used smart phone flash tool.
If you do "download" doesn't start the flashing, if you do "Firmware upgrade" the flashing is ok but then the phone doesn't turn.
Now i've phone bricked, too late "now you've not obligation install this rom"
download the 4.2.2 v12 rom and load the scatter file for the 4.2.2 rom (don't start at this point).
ensure the phone is NOT plugged in to your PC and remove battery from phone for about 10 seconds, replace the battery.
use the firmware upgrade option, start the download/upgrade now.
holding down the volume key, plug the USB cable into the phone and it should recover the old rom.

how did you get it to install?, several of us has had no luck.. just won't start and we've had to restore 4.2.2
does it work on cubot s308 4.4?
This firmware doesn't work on S222 v4.2, maybe works on v4.4 as update.

Have the same problem, upgraded the from from 4.2.2 v12 to 4.4.2 v0.8 and the phone won't turn on..bricked… those having the same problem, just download the 4.2.2 v12 rom and load the scatter file for the 4.2.2 rom (don't start at this point).

Im trying to install this update on my S222 and nothing happens when I try download or upgrade. the options in the instructions dont match the options on the version of Flash tool they provide. I removed the battery, plugged it into the USB. and nothing happens at all. i can turn the phone on and its as if nothing was done, nothing updates at all. can someone please elaborate on what to do? or maybe an exact procedure on how to get this to install on the S222? Iv found the update on the Cubot Website but that dont seem to work, every time i go to Cubot on my laptop i get a download file. if i go there on my phone i can get to the update and then an error page cant be displayed message.
Hi Guys
My S222 come from the store with stock Kitkat installed. The version was the 0.0.4 with only 1gb for apps.
This version make one whole partition of 14GB, and runs great.
Maybe my S222 has is a new hardware revision.
