Flash with SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1344.0.212 put out your battery and disconect phone, click download and put battery in and reconnect the phone if it wont connect press volume up.

I have some questions:
1) is the rom uploaded here the same that is on the official cubot site ?? (link : http://www.cubot.net/index.php...../typeid/23.html)
2) on the official page (link : http://www.cubot.net/index.php...../typeid/23.html) there is a procedure to update that uses the SD card.
is it applicable to update also the S308??
In my opinion if it works on S308 it is simplier and more reliable than the other that uses the PC and SP_Flash_Tool.
Question : does someone performed the procedure by the SD card as indicated by the official Cubot company?
3) is it possible to use this ROM on a JB 4.2.2 S308 in order to update it to KK 4.4.2 ?? 4.2.2 –> 4.4.2?
Is there any risk to brick the device? Has someone make the update by SD from 422 to 442?
let me/us know this because if it works it's a pleasure to update the device to kit kat in a safe way

If this is the same rom as the one on the official page, i can confirm its not working for 4.2.2. I bricked the phone using that rom. Unbricked it using the 4.2.2 rom from this site. I mailed the manufacturer about it and their answer was to contact my resseler. Mailed them too and they answered that their salesman told them that 4.2.2 S308 cant be updated to 4.4.2.
Has someone tested the SD procedure to flash the new rom??

The original update only works if you have the original recovery.
Excuse my stupid question but could I write an original recovery on my S308 with 4.2.2 and flash later with 4.4?
No. Original 4.4 and 4.2 have diferent preloader and the phone bricks if flashed with diferent version.
Thank you very much for the answer. It sounds logical. But in this case my next question is how to flash the preloader from 4.4 phone to 4.2?
I have a 4.4 phone and all attempts to change to 4.2 resulted in total brick, it seems that there are no compatible preloader to change between the to systems. Only the manufacturer can do a compatible update.
