Yes the "old" hardware version of this phone contained a other camera chip
works fine for me, but IMEI lost
- Please restore the IMEI from the backup of the old version,
- or use MTK Droidtool to restore your number behind the battery
my x6 is G807_c1_d1_cubot_v1.1_20140613 can i flash this rom and work the camera than and can i flash with recowery or only with flash tool
Should work, if yours came from Stock with v1.1.
Have flashed the 4.4.2 also over this firmware, and most likely the camera on this phone will be the new one.

Solution:
- make e frrmware reset
- after do not boot into system
- flash your original nvram.bin from the backup of 4.2.2 with the scatterfile of 4.4.2, but change the following entry like
- partition_index: SYS4
partition_name: NVRAM
file_name: NONE
is_download: true
U can recover lost imei by loading backup from CWM , but u have to do CWM backup, before you lost imei. I am recommending to do CWM backup , before doing anything with phone. If you not done backup i can only say you are…..
But you have to do CWM backup before you start doing anything unknown with your phone. It is alpha-omega of playing with this android toys.

Hi,
i updated my original firmware (v0.9) with this one. After flashing the firmware and reboot, i got the message: Encryption unsuccessful …. …. and a button 'reset phone'. After pressing the button nothing happens. So i turned of the phone with long pressing the power-on button, removed the memory card and started the recovery menu with simultaneously pressing volume down and power-on. I chose the chinese entry with 'something chinese' + e M M C. This is the factory reset. After the reset the phone booted and showed the CUBOT logo. It seems to hang in a loop, but after a while (maybe 2 minutes) the phone started with the new android kitkat. After all i inserted the memory card again and everything was fine.
Hint:
* there was no need to recover the IMEI, MAC-address or NVRAM.
* internet connection via 3G network works fine
* front camera without function (only back camera)
* now Bluetooth Smart Ready (Bluetooth classic and Bluetooth LE !!!)
