IMPORTANT WARNING
If you currently have R1 or R2 on your phone, please flash R3 or newer as soon as possible. It has been detected that versions R1 and R2 (as well as most CyanogenMod-based roms out there for M3G) contained a service that was probably a trojan. It has been removed in R3 and any newer updates. PLEASE REMEMBER TO WIPE SYSTEM, DALVIK AND CACHE. Thanks to charlik for finding this problem.
Hello, since the CyanogenMod roms that can be found for TCL M3G in chinese forums are not updated regularly and are still filled with bugs and bloatware, I decided to start publishing my own builds.
THIS ROM IS FOR TCL M3G. YOU MUST CONVERT YOUR EMAX MINI TO A TCL M3G IN ORDER TO FLASH IT. Tutorial here, other (shorter) method here.
What's in my builds?
- CyanogenMod 12.1 with Android 5.1.1, including usual CM goodies (Multilanguage, theme engine, AudioFX, FM Radio, Snap Camera)
- Updated frequently to keep up with CM upstream sources and Android security patches
- Estimated update frequency: between 1 and 2 weeks
- Clean builds, without any unneeded bits. This means no bloatware or non-CM mods.

Recommended GAPPS: The Open GApps Project, select ARM64, Android 5.1.

Installation
- Flash TWRP if you don't have it already
- Wipe system
- If you're not flashing over a CM rom, wipe data
- Install ROM zip
- Install GApps zip (optional)
- Wipe cache and dalvik (optional but recommended, should be the first step to take in case of problems)

The available TWRP @ NEEDROM, Can it flash this CM ROM?
yes, You can
When I try and install twrp – I get the error message "remote: size too large".
Any ideas what that means ?? The file I downloaded is "twrp_mi4c.zip and use the command
"fastbook flash recovery twrp_recovery.img"

Just downloaded R6 and flashed. I am so much impressed… as this ROM is gorgeous !!! I did not believe the phone is going to be usable ever with its terribly laggy stock LeWa OS. (even two threats were found in by Eset antivirus of that stock ROM…terrible TCL!! Shame on You!!) But fortunately there is great people like varotone and their work is brilliant. I was going to smash it, but now is eventually working for the first time since purchase(its been 2months). I appreciate it so much. Thanks a lot varotone for saving my phone. Good job.

This is just a bridge between this site and your publictions on other forums. It has no roms to download. I've made this the most generic possible, so all the info is not related to any particular build – this way there's no need to be updated. It was just a way that other people could find your amazing work, and I can delete this if you want.

Yup, the best rom for TCL M3G or converted UMI Emax Mini by far. No big issues, I only managed to kill the screen two times and don't know how I managed to do that
. A reboot did the trick in both cases (keep power off and volume + buttons pressed untill reboot occurs)
