   Hi, installed CM_PROJECT-G4S-2.2.5. on G4S. Great ROM for my needs. BUT!

   GPS IS NOT WORKING!

   GPS fixer say:

   Location based services: NOT INSTALLED

   YGPS: NOT INSTALLED

   When I checked installed apps, there is no YGPS app and Location engineer mode app.

   ANY SOLUTION?

   Yes it's true I have problem with GPS too. I see the satelites but can't get fix. Can anyone help?

     I am afraid, there is no help with GPS, I tried various roms in past year and half and there is no way to get it work properly. I think G4S is pretty good phone, but the GPS is completly bull***t. BTW great rom CyanogenMod 12.1 brought a new life to this phone!!

     On mine I can get a fix. At least the one time I tested. Took about 5 minutes but locked on 8 or 9 satellites. On my original ROM it was also working, it lost coneection sometimes and not very accurate but was working. Moved to KK and never worked, I made several workarounds and nothing. Funny that when most people say it doesn't work, it works one mine and when it works for most people doesn't work on mine.

     Anyway as it was said if you need GPS move to other phone, I already knew GPS wouldn't work or would work poorly so no problems for me.

   By the way went and tried it again and in 2 min I had a fix in 5 satellites, says there are 12 in view. But I'm in the office now, near a window so no miracles with the G4S indoors.

   I can't agree with this that GPS is completly bull****t in G4S. On my previous rom 4.2.2 it worked perfectly and fast.

     The GPS is completely hardware-based issue and there's nothing to do about it. Buy and external Bluetooth dongle, like used Nokia LD-3W for $10.  =)

     So you are the lucky one, on 4.2.2 I can¨t even get a fix, not speaking of a operational use ofit

   True, GPS does not work great on this phone. However the 2.2.5 version of this ROM listed on 4pda wont get a fix, the version listed on this page, GPS does get a fix. The phone will show satellites, but those are predictions of satelite positions (agps or EPO). On my phone I replaced the gps antenna with a wire loop and it works way better now

   Hi I installed this rom and everything works great but i doesn't recognise my sd card i try rebooting it again and it didn't help . 

   does anyone knows how to fix it ?

     hi,

     you have to save the files in your computer and format sd card from settings/storage/format sd in your phone.

     it works for me

     Hi i tried all that, I even format it into FAT32 nothing helped . Do you have any other suggestions ?

   First thank you for the great ROM. 

   Second, I have problems with the notification led, when I got a sms or missed call, the notification led doesn't blink anymore (which is really anoying to me), but when I charge my phone the led is red when charging and green when charged. Any help?

   I tried with various apps for notification led and it didn't worked.
