Included here is the zip file I have used recently for SuperUser access on this model after all the "one-click" root programs turned out to be rubbish – and the latest and beta versions from the official chainfire site did not work!
-This one works!
Enter recovery mode with TWRP installed (see other posts on the Y300 to get this installed), flash this file and then reboot the phone… After this first boot, the phone may need rebooting to resolve any "XYZ stopped working" prompts.
