PORTED TO DOOGEE X5 MT6580 BY DECENT/SITO.
INSTALL USING TWRP (I USE 3.0.2 BY JEMMINI)
ROM WILL WORK PERFECTLY IF YOU HAVE KERNEL KERNEL 3.18.19 (IT'S MARSHMALLOW KERNEL BUT YOU CAN STILL HAVE NOUGAT AS STOCK ROM AND FLASH THIS ROM AS I DO AND IT WILL WORK FINE, JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 3.18.19, YOU CAN CHECK THIS IN THE SETTINGS, "ABOUT DEVICE"
NO GAPPS INSTALLED, ITS RECOMMENDED TO FLASH PICO GAPPS.
IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU INSTALL HAVING ANDROID NOUGAT BETA5
What is DotOS?
DotOS custom rom is a rom that manages to keep the OS as light as possible without sacrificing any feature making it the lightest rom ever. Beside from being light it has got all the efficient performance patches that gives you a lag free experience. The rom being both powerful and minimal stays secure with up to date security patches.
Both cameras work, only thing is it won't record videos in default camera, use another camera app for doing that. Videos work. 2SIM work.

Default camera won't record videos, if you want to record something just install any other camera app and you should be good to go.
Adaptive Brightness isn't working, it's a sensor problem I think, hopefully i'll fix that.
Radio FM is not working, havent found a solution yet.
Default browser may be unestable in some pages producing random crashes, thats why I suggest you to install any other browsing app such as Google Chrome or Puffin Browser.
Google APP crashes when you try to search something on it, either way Google Feed actually works perfectly. You could use Google GO as alternative or directly look for things up in the browser.

Bugs all 7.x mt6580: Videos not playing in youtube or other third-party clients,Sometimes flickering graphics(something with the render),the application(there is a fix, but then mostly the video will not play,youtube half screen,other apps black screen),Quickly take the battery(Not showing the stress in all applications,you can fix it easily)
That happened to me when I flashed this rom over marshmallow without wiping anything.

What do YouTube mean with all 7.x mt6580 devices? This rom has been adapted exclusively for Doogee X5, I have tested the ROM on two devices and ir works just fine, I would suggest you to try doing what enochete said, since thats how i've flashed the ROM always and I've nevera had a problem like that doing it that way.
However, i'll be updating a less buggy ROM soon, LineageOS 14.1 almost all features working perfectly and OMS support included
This rom works with marshmallow kernel. If you have newer kernel which comes with nougat, flash the marshamallow stock rom and then flash this rom in twrp recovery.
I don't have my phone right now but somewhen this week i'll upload V2 (of the port not the ROM)
With better launcher and a working browser, also i'll do some workaround about the dark camera problem, stay tuned
it's the best rom so far, smooth and great performance, youtube works fine, but i have problem sometimes when i lock the screen and try to unlock it, it won't, until i restarte the device.

I'm glad to hear you like the rom, I would love helping you with that lockscreen problem but it has never happened to me so far in none of the 2 already tested devices that have this rom, we'll see.
