Unfortunately Elephone is only a daughter company. Ecoo and Elephone are owned by the same mothercompany.If I could go back in time I would buy the Lenovo K3 Note K50 instead. Very similar hardware and several 6.0 roms :'( The hardware is good, but no support of Ecoo and it seems we will not get any 6.0 rom 
But if you look at the Ele P7000 same situation for those owners: no 6.0 in sight.

yes… ECOO is a bad company but the phone is really good and it has some "brothers" like K3 Note as @tinaeire said but many others like Lenovo P70, Jiayu S3, iOcean X9, Elephone P7000, Vivo X6 and many more. I'm doing my own experiments with some boots, systems and so on to get Nougat (yes, Android 7.1) become running. I didn't make it get to boot but there are some signs of life

I would have liked. Is it possible that you can write it down. Android 7.1 on ECOO E04 (MTK 6752-3GB Ram).

Unfortunately I run 'only' Vibe (Cleos port) the only stable version so far :/
I did try to port Cleos rom to to CM13 (Lenovo K3-K50) but no luck so far. It is my 1. attempt to port a rom. It should work as it is based on the same linux kernel version. I have to investigate there a bit more. I did follow this instuction: https://mtk6582roms.blogspot.i.....12113-roms.html
Once the new .zip is created it fails to be written with TWRP.

Hi internick, thank you for the wonderful TWRP. Would be particularly nice if I could install Android MM or nougat on the ECOO E04. It is still an excellent cell phone. Nougat of K3 Note can be ported to Ecoo. Similar hardware.
why all of above versions dont extract to drain scratter file??
