Rom – custom EsseFive (JB 4.2.2) for UMI X3.


 Download the zip file (do not unzip it!), copy it to the internal memory (always remember that the Umi X3 does not have external sd card!) and installed via modded recovery (CWM or TWRP).

    Iceman, thank you for continuously supporting this device that is obviously abandoned by its maker (soon, I believe, the same will happen to their current flagship UMI Zero…)!


    I have a few questions if you don't mind…

    1) The code *#*#3646633#*#* for entering MTK engineering mode doesn't work even though the required .apk is in the ROM, why is that?

    2) It says "4.4.2" in "About device", there's even that red KitKat animation… It still is 4.2.2, right?

    3) I have done this before, but unfortunately I forgot what exactly. :-) What files do I need to move and to what folder in order to update baseband version? I'd like to use newer one from this ROM in my favourite Cinzia2.

    I agree. Soon Umi Zero will be dropped .

    What do you need the code * # * # 3646633 # * # * ? You can safely enter with MobileUncle .

    I confirm that this is JB 4.2.2 .

    To change the baseband you need to replace the file system / etc / firmware / modem.img and folder system / etc / MDDB .
