MIUI 4.7.18 Rom for Gionee Elife S5.5.
Full ROM Flashing Instructions
Note: I am not responsible for any harm caused to your device. So flash at your own risk.
- Root your device.
- Create your own CWM Recovery using MTKDroid Tools, rename it to recovery.img and flash using Mobile Uncle tool/SP Flash Tool.
- Backup your current ROM using cwm and MTK droid tools before making any changes to your mobile. (Important)
- Download the ROM zip file from below link.
- Put the zip file in the sdcard.
- In CWM Recovery:
- wipe cache, data, dalvik cache, system
- Select Install Zip From SDCard and Flash MIUI Zip File
- Reboot. Njoy !!!
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM
Is it possible to update this Rom to Android 4.4? I am not familar with MIUI

Guys I would like to install this rom but can we unroot after installation as I can not install my office mail on rooted device. At present Gionee s 5.5 does not support Alpha neomeric password on lock screen so not able to configure the office email.

Hello, Everyone
i have tried MiUi (custom/update) RoM for my Indian Version S5.5, erlier i updated it to KitKat and flashed MiUi on it but it doesn't work on KK 4.4.2,
Here a RoM Called "NoName" working Fine on KK coz it is Also ported from KK 4.4.2,
after that i downgrade it to 4.2.2 with official RoM from Above (actually its chinense Rom) after that i tried with Stock Recovery, Custom Recovery, Carvil Recovery but none of these worked for me as on android 4.2.2, So please anyone have Solution for this ????

i tried this rom, working perfectly and gets OTA update, but didn't updated.Headphone sound better than gionee seems premium.
bug: 1. sound not working for all settings and media, means no sound at all. 2. SIM (network) not working
till now found two above metioned bugs only. maybe some others if go deep or maybe not.
if anyone knows how to fix network for this rom, on gionee s5.5 (indian version).
