   Painful the update on this! doesnt work correctly after I did it no screen display. So I had F##% around a lot, here is how to install the new rom with CWM. Follow post 30 instructions and use it to create a new scatter file only.(must have new rom downloaded) save the scatter file back with the setting from post 30. DOwnload the CWM zip extract and add to the ROM extraction you have. it replaces the recovery.img file. Then use flash tools but uncheck the checksum DA and flash. Once flashed install SU user reboot. Run MTK Driod tools root again with that and then use the IEMI in MTK driod tools to rewrite the IMEI(I lost mine in the update but this fixed it).

   i've just uploaded the latest firmware for the v8 on this site, i think the admin team are verifying it….hopefully they can clear it and make it available for you guys…it's still 4.4.2 but it is oct 2014 build and it has a few extra stuff in it…I have flashed it with flashtool and it is silky smooth. No issues so far.

   For me (V8 from gearbest) the upgrade worked fine using this procedure (full format+download). I restored root permissions with iRoot (formerly vRoot). However I can't install TWRP recovery anymore, because something "has changed". Could you prepare an updated TWRP image?

   Its strange, after upgrade to 20141127 … My v8 ram memory increase to 3gb
   Its real or fake, i dont know. Use antutu and cpuz have same result….
   Its make me worry …. How much The true of v8 phisic ram is …

   @supranouva: for me too! /proc/meminfo shows me 3145728 kB MemTotal

   Can you set/restore IMEI numbers? For me neither using MTK Engineer Mode (AT +EGMR commands) nor a tool from MS Windows works. Data connection doesn't work for me, maybe because of the invalid IMEI…
