UPDATE – 23/04/2013 Lolfisch v1.2 released!

UPDATE – 14/04/2013 Lolfisch v1.1 released!

Changelog:
-Numerous build.prop tweaks to improve browsing speeds, performance and to remove USB debugging icon (USB debugging can still be enabled in settings)
-Fixed LED wakelock issue. Deep sleep mode now works, improving battery life. (Thanks to evirus for his help)
-Fixed Clock app by replacing it with 4.2 clock. If you're still getting forced close's when trying to set an alarm, clear the app's data.
-Fixed Handcent SMS incompatibility
-Updated 4.2 keyboard using a Nexus 4 ROM. Runs smoother now.
-Updated Calendar app to the one from the play store. Now the app will update automatically as it is linked to the play store

Install instructions:
Flashable zip, install via the recovery of your choice. Confirmed working on CWM & TWRP recoveries. This is a full ROM, not a patch.
Remember to backup your files and previous ROM!
You shouldn't need to do a full wipe if going from a 4.1.2 ROM to this, but I recommend that you do. (I didn't )
If going from a 4.04 ROM to this, you MUST do a factory reset in CWM, otherwise it won't boot.

NB:This ROM is for the Jiayu G3N. A G3 update may follow.

Lolfisch v1.0
I have ported GThrill ROM v3.0 to the G3N (the new release of the G3 with the s501 chip)
GThrill is based on Cyanogenmod 10. It is Jelly bean 4.1.2. There is currently no theme support, but I'll look into that in future builds.

This ROM should have all the features of the original ROM. The only changes are behind-the-scenes.

- zipalign on the fly (script by Wes Garner)
- slim and light: removed unwanted apps
- host file (to block known ad servers/hosts)
- some build.prop tweaks from different sources
- contains some line from V6 supercharger script (by zeppelinrox, particularly kernel tweaks)
- Jellybean Keyboard (SWIPE feature)
- Google Chrome browser (bundled stock browser FCs)

Although there's no reason I can think of why the GPS wouldn't work.
I'm planning on adding the 4.2 clock and gallery in future builds, plus possibly trying to improve performance.
With regards to overclocking and undervolting, I have not heard of any kernels for any MT6577 devices that have offered this. And I'm sure better men than me have tried!

HI, yesteday I have updated and it is really great rom, 2 bugs I have found so far
1. In google sky maps – Polar star is located on the northen horizont – it seems that accelerometer axis are somehow swichted, please correct it
2. In original rom it is possible to choose which card to be used in3g network but in this it os not
Please take a look.

  1. Could you clarify quite what you mean? I just downloaded the app and got a compass and the compass poles match those onscreen. Ursa major and minor are both North. Correct me if that's not how things should be, my only knowledge is about 6 lines of wikipedia I just read :p
  2. You still can? Settings>More>Mobile networks>Network Mode>Select your sim>Select which mode you want. WDCMA is 3G and GSM is 2G. Also just looked this up but I'm pretty sure I'm right on this one.

  1. My mistake, it was caused, that there was disabled permission of reading position for google apps
  2. In this menu there is just opition to choose sim card that is placed in 3G sim slot, in original rom it was posible to choose 3G on sim card in GSM slot only.

Thanks for the ROM.
I made it work after second install. But FM Radio still doesn't want to cooparate. Eveything else is fine.
Anyone have the same problem?

  I forgot about the most important. WiFi connection breaks after short time. And to use it I have to restart it all the time. On original ROM issue doesn't occure.

  I'm not surprised about the FM radio. Will be fixed in the next version
  I've had no other reports of this happening, and it doesn't happen on my G3N.
  Did you do a hard reset? Try a clean install and see if the wi-fi problem persists. Sounds like an app like juice defender trying to be helpful or something.

  Thanks for replay.
  Problem with WiFi still is. I hadn't much time last week but I noticed that its break connection when the signal is under ~50% on my home network. In work I haven't had this. So it's something about my phone antenna or my home router. This week I should have time to do the proper tests.

Question:
1.- In low battery starts the red led and the mobile left to entry in deep sleep. In other roms this bug is fixed. Can we get a patch to solve this?
2.- Morelocale2 don´t made full translation of the rom to spanish, in further version is posible to include spanish language?

  Firstly, thanks for letting me know. Can you name a Jelly Bean G3 ROM where this has been fixed? That way I can replace the faulty files.
  It will take me a very long time to add more languages as it is much more complicated than I expected. So I wont be doing anything drastic like that until after my uni exams in a couple of months time, I'm afraid!

Hello, today I got a new Jiayu 3GN and I flashed your rom.
Everything seems to work ok except for the GPS. The GPS also didn't work for me with the stock ICS that came with the phone.
With your GThriil rom when I went outside with "gps test" it took me like 4 minutes just to see 5 "in view" satellites but got no fix. are you sure GPS is working or did I get a defective phone?
I really like your rom, seems so much better than stock, I wish GPS would work.

  That sounds like a hardware problem to me, the GPS should definitely work on stock I've had reports of it working very well on this ROM. The GPS files in this ROM are from the stock ROM as I remember!

  I would not say HW problem i have the same,when i open G maps so GPS start searching for satellities but long time on fix (even 20 min) but when I activate GPS trough Mobile uncletools eng mode, fix is done within 10 s

  Yes, I've just tried. I've had a look around and think I've found a fix. Will be in the next update!
  (If you want to fix it yourself, extract the lolfisch.zip file with 7-zip, etc. Then Install notepad++ and navigate in the exracted folder to system>build.prop. Open it with notepad++ and remove the line.
  dalvik.vm.jniopts=forcecopy
  Archive the ROM back to a zip file, and install as usual.)
  If you're happy to wait, new ROM will probably be out in a week and a half's time.
