UPDATE – 14/04/2013 Lolfisch v1.1 released!
Changelog:
-Numerous build.prop tweaks to improve browsing speeds, performance and to remove USB debugging icon (USB debugging can still be enabled in settings)
-Fixed LED wakelock issue. Deep sleep mode now works, improving battery life. (Thanks to evirus for his help)
-Fixed Clock app by replacing it with 4.2 clock. If you're still getting forced close's when trying to set an alarm, clear the app's data.
-Fixed Handcent SMS incompatibility
-Updated 4.2 keyboard using a Nexus 4 ROM. Runs smoother now.
-Updated Calendar app to the one from the play store. Now the app will update automatically as it is linked to the play store
Install instructions:
Flashable zip, install via the recovery of your choice. Confirmed working on CWM & TWRP recoveries. This is a full ROM, not a patch.
Remember to backup your files and previous ROM!
You shouldn't need to do a full wipe if going from a 4.1.2 ROM to this, but I recommend that you do. (I didn't )
If going from a 4.04 ROM to this, you MUST do a factory reset in CWM, otherwise it won't boot.
NB:This ROM is for the Jiayu G3N. A G3 update may follow.

Lolfisch v1.0
I have ported GThrill ROM v3.0 to the G3N (the new release of the G3 with the s501 chip)
GThrill is based on Cyanogenmod 10. It is Jelly bean 4.1.2. There is currently no theme support, but I'll look into that in future builds.

This ROM should have all the features of the original ROM. The only changes are behind-the-scenes.

Although there's no reason I can think of why the GPS wouldn't work.
I'm planning on adding the 4.2 clock and gallery in future builds, plus possibly trying to improve performance.
With regards to overclocking and undervolting, I have not heard of any kernels for any MT6577 devices that have offered this. And I'm sure better men than me have tried!

Hi, you haven’t given much detail about your problem but I will do the best I can.
Did you try a factory reset? Wiping data will fix the problem. Try wiping cache and dalvik cache first to avoid spending time restoring from titanium backup I hope for your sake you did a cwm backup as per the instructions. What ROM were you running before?

OK, that’s odd, try installing v1 First as mentioned in a post below. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience. I hope you enjoy the ROM!
My FM radio isn't working, but WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth are.
I also had bootloop after the clean install of the 1.1 version. The resolution was to install the first version (v1.01), reboot the device, complete the initial steps of configuring the ROM than reboot back to recovery and install v1.1. It worked for me.

Hi, i set the v1.1 and my GPS don't work… is it normal that the settings are in english? i put the firmware in french… the home's icons are in french but the settings in english.. too, i have a message: "unfortunately exchange …." what can i do? thanks
Nothing about the GPS has changed since 1.0. I've heard reports that GPS both does and doesn't work. If I release a new version this weekend, there will be changes to the GPS settings.
Not heard of the exchange issue before, did you do a data wipe before installing? If not, you need to go to settings>apps>all>email>clear data. Then do the same for Exchange services. Let me know if this works!
What about the Battery life? I used it since 2 days ad I have to charge it everyday.

You using the latest version of the ROM? It should have improved battery life.
If you are, install CPU spy and make sure deep sleep mode is working. If not, restart the phone.
Hi Chrissyboy. I've found this 4.2.1 ROM for the MTK 6577 chipset. Is it possible for you to use this one to create one for Jiayu g3?

And close question = how and is it possible (engineer menu for example) to control delay of holding button (one button only on headset) in wired headset – I mean how to make this button shot click to end the call? ervius: AFAIK – this button should send something and it will be good to write action. Is it possible to spy if there is any input to the someone module (I do not know what is responsible in Android for receiving signals from 3.5 mm jack – may be special linux kernel module)?
PS: will be happy if this feature will be implemented! I am ready even to write kernel module (have some basis of writing them for x86 \x86_64 linux kernel.
