DESCRIPTION

ROM JIAYU G4 – ROM Android 4.2.1 MIUI Beta

Update 07/28/2013

1: Fix G4 standard version of the memory card mounting problems, and shielded internal storage
2: Fix bug that can not use the compass
3: fix minimum brightness black screen problem

Features ROM:

MIUI V5 3.7.26

dual card MIUIare normal, other aspects of the various functions are normal.

Gapps not include – Rooted

Language support: EN/CN

Install ROM :

CWM

Step 1: Download the custom card ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
Step 2: the shutdown state. While holding down:
Power button + volume button + volume key to enter the recovery mode, Perform factory reset (wipe data, cache, dalvik cache)
Step 3: Enter menu apply update from sdcard select the ROM
Step 4: Brush complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while

if Bug CWM try

wipe data / factory reset deletes user data and restore the factory settings (optional brush must be executed before)
Wipe cache partition clear the system cache (Brush former executive) (system problems can also try this option)

※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

i dont get any contact name on display while i get a call .. it shows their number .. even tho i have the contacts saved …and they dont appear in the call logs as well. only for the incoming calls

Hi, The base kernel/libs had a bug that was solved on latest jiayu g4 firmware 20130620-163509
Can you please rebase this?
Is concerning brightness, sometimes the screen compleatly off (no backlight), the android system is still running (i can unlock screen because i know where exactly is the unlock button, but without seeing anything on screen)
On the latest firmware i said this was solved by jiayu (im from http://www.jiayu.es, and i saw this problem on the first firmware jiayu released)

I use the kernel from latest firmware and use your ramdisk, then i take the vender, usr and modules hw and egl from libs
I tried it and works now

Thanks a lot for your work Fraggel! I'm using this rom now and would love see to see multi language support. Although is already better then the stock Jiayu rom.
Some other things i noticed(first time i'm using MIUI so some might be not be supported by MIUI):
* no face unlock feature
* no way to set the default sim for my calls
* sometime touch doesn't respond when coming out of stand-by mode(had this with stock rom aswell)
* phone is recognized as G3QC by the Jiayu app, although the right model is shown in settings -> about phone? I tried the other MIUI rom here and that one didn't had this problem(back on this one though cause the other one had some mayor issues)
* Sometimes the settings menu looks weird(layout is simplefied). Mostly when u press settings after u already went there.

Its exist an update. Its better to make? Or not? Its now 3.7.25 after will be 3.8. This updates its the same with the last miui in needrom?

Hi everyone. I just installed this ROM on my G4 following the steps here described and I have some problems and I quite need your help: the phone starts and the message "com.android.phone has stopped" and it freezes. I haven't acces to the phone by USB cable and I can't do anything – I installed the drivers before and I tried the flashtool already with any result because now the device appears for 2 seconds only on device manager. The CWM doesn't work anymore so I'm not able to change the ROM. Please HELP ME to reset it or restore the factory settings to acces it – by cable or CWM. The phone is new – bought on Friday 08/09 – and I really like it. Thank you in advance
