0. Disclaimer



The usual stuff :


This package might be most suitable for experienced users but everybody is welcome to use it at his own risk.


Flashing / Rooting your phone and using software tools have risks indeed = if instructions aren't followed you can BRICK YOUR DEVICE. Therefore please read carefully all of the instructions & follow them if You choose to go on at your own risk.


If You don't understand the instructions stop & search on Google/Boards/XDA/etc. and / or ask for help.


All the mentioned software & tools belong to their respective owners/developers. Neither I nor the owners / developers are not to be held responsible if you damage or brick your device.



1. Before proceeding


Write down your phone's IMEI.


You can find it printed on a sticker that is affixed to the phone underneath the battery.


You'll have indeed to apply / restore it after ROM flash according to provided instructions.


2. ROM Flashing


Pre-Requirements :


-          Preloader USB VCOM MTK6795 Driver support


-          SP Flash Tool


If You don't have already installed them You can search on Google/XDA in order to find download/install instructions for Your specific operating system.


VCOM Driver package for Windows (from XP to 10) & SP Flash Tool (Windows & Linux-64bit) have been included in this package for your convenience.



Once ready launch SP Flash Tool with Administrative privileges, go to Download Tab and click on 'Scatter Loading' by the right.


In the window that pops up, go to the folder where You've extracted the rom You've downloaded, and select the scatter (scatter file is a text file with the word "scatter" in its name) then click Open.


1. Click Format at the top.


2. After clicking Format, a dialogue box will pop up, ensure that 'Auto Format Flash' and 'Format whole flash without Bootloader' are selected.


3. Click OK, Stop should now be red or green in color.


4. Connect the switched off phone (with battery inside) to the PC via USB cord.

5. A progress bar should load till you get a 'Success' message (green circle with OK).

6. Disconnect the phone from PC.

7. Go back to Download Tab and ensure that formerly selected scatter file & list with ticked boxes appears in SP flash tool.


8. click Download (with an arrow above it). You'll see that Stop should now be prominent while other options should be grayed out.


9. Connect the switched off phone (without battery inside) to the PC via USB cord.


10. A progress bar should start running. Wait till you get a Success message (green circle with OK) and do not interrupt before then.



Once You've got the 'Success Message' disconnect the phone, slot the battery back in, then power up the phone.



3. Apply / Restore IMEI



After flashing You'll have to apply / restore mobile phone IMEI (that You have written down before). In order to do so You can use MAUI META 3G v8.1520.1 .


MAUI META 3G v8.1520.1 installer & required preloader/CDC drivers have been included in this package for Your convenience. Once installed, run MAUI META with Administrative privileges (run as administrator).


1. Click on Options menu tab and select/tick Connect Smart phone into META mode .


Then click on Reconnect button. The color of circle will start changing between red and green & below You'll see the connect message.


2. Connect the switched off phone with battery to the PC via USB cord .


The phone should boot up then get stuck at boot animation in META mode. The circle should now be yellow in color, indicating that the phone has been successfully detected .


The Get Version box will open automatically. Otherwise select it below Action menu tab .


3. Click on Get target version button.


4. Minimize Get Version box once phone details appear to confirm phone detection .  Then select IMEI Download below Action menu tab.


5. Click on Change NVRAM Database File & select BPL_GUI MDDB file provided with the ROM package.


Then on SIM_1 tab enter the first 14 digits of 1st SIM IMEI you've written down before. The digit entered in the CheckSum box will be the 15th digit of the IMEI. Once done, click Download To Flash .


6. You'll get Download IMEI to flash successfully confirmation message.


Close the IMEI Download box.

7. Click on Disconnect button. Phone will exit from META mode and shutdown.


Then boot up the phone and dial *#06# code on phone dialer keypad in order to confirm that IMEI have been successfully written & saved.


4. After installation


Go into Settings Advanced Language & Input and tap on Current Keyboard in order to set Google Keyboard  (AOSP).


Reboot into TWRP recovery (*) , install SuperSU, then do Wipe Dalvik / Cache & reboot




On unrooted devices TWRP recovery can be started only from ADB (adb reboot boodloader command – USB Debug must be enabled in Settings Developer Options).


On rooted devices You can install & use QuickReboot .


Tap on SuperSU and initialize it.


Reboot again into TWRP Recovery to install OpenGApps. You can use Nano minimal package or Micro one (that includes Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Now, Google Launcher).



Install app to enable immersive mode / disable nav-bar.


I've attached GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys – Root (available on Play Store too) that doesn't have issues related to keyboard recall.


Set same General Settings as shown aside & tap on first square.


Then, reboot system in order to enable full immersive mode.

Owing to locked bootloader TWRP recovery can't be used to flash custom ROMs.

    Ok so is this the latest ppos available for pptv king 7? I have rooted already and have installed TWRP & fully functional test version of CyanogenMod 13. But wish to change to stock fo better functionality. Do i still have to follow whole thread intructions or can i skip parts as already rooted? Also, why do i need to reinsert my imei? Can i not just flash through twrp or flashify??
