   Hi

   The reason why I need to flash the ROM is because my phone cannot get started up. Got stuck at the Lenovo logo screen even after trying the Up Volume and Power keys to reset. I don't know why it become like this. Prior to this, I did a soft factory reset via the menu and this happens. Does anyone knows how to overcome this?

   By the way, I downloaded the stock ROM from the lenovo website but the rom file there is also corrupted. Pointing to a checksum error in system.img. Mine is a A936 with 1G RAM. Does anyone has the error-free system.img file? 

   Please help!!

   Dear all

   Just to update that I manage to successfully flash the ROM. However, it is the A936_USR_ST1445_3.28.1_1411071130_MP13V1.1_CU_CN version.

   Just for the newbie like me. Here are the steps:

   1. Install the LenovoUsbDriver_autorun_1.0.9_internal.exe software.

   2. Install the driver. This is done by connecting your phone to the USB cable. Ensure your phone is switch on so that the WINDOWS device manager can detect the phone and install the drivers. 

   3. Remove the phone from USB cable.

   4. Off the phone but keep the battery inside. 

   5.  Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe

   6. Select the MT6752_Android_scatter.txt in ROM and wait for files to be added

   7. Select Option->Download->“DA DL ALL  With Check  Sum"

   8. Select 'Firmware Upgrade' first and then click on 'Download'. Flash_tool.exe is now waiting for you to connect your phone via USB cable.

   9. Insert the phone back into the USB cable.

   10. The process will start automatically. Wait until green circles is displayed.

   11. Remove phone from USB cable. Done!!

   Note that the A936_USR_ST1445_3.28.1_1411071130_MP13V1.1_CU_CN version of ROM has only English and Chinese languages. SInce it is meant for the China market, it has quite a number of Chinese applications. Most of them can be uninstalled if you do not require them. There is no Google Play Store or Google Play Services installed. I am still trying to find out how to install them.

   hi , lately I flash my LENOVO A936 with official rom " VIBEUI_V2.0_1448_5.2.1_ST_A936_CU – KTU84P ." Everything went well because I really respect the process . However, my phone will not boot or load , it is dead. What should I do please .

     ok, thank you dima , then I keep my version multilanguage with google play store (VIBEUI_V2.0_1450_5.9.1_ST_A936_CU) waiting for a rom multilanguage

     hello, I'm sorry, I tried I rooted and install usb driver and MTK DROID TOOLS but it gives me error. do not copy all the files.

   I found a solution to the above and now the phone operates normally.
   I spent this Roma https://www.needrom.com/dow…36-cu-ram-2gb/ how that description , the only difference is that when I connect the phone to the computer hold down Volume Control + and keep it down until you finish the whole process

     Thank God for  @katorifineebrom who found out this solution for this trap! They should mention what version the rom is for.. It only gives warning for the chip (MT6752) but not for the ram version…the result is total brick of the phone. Bootloader would not work any more, so no more rom could be flashed… But holding down the valume + button while inserting the usb did the trick. I thought the phone was useless before that.. Anyway, i have the original multilanguage rom for Lenovo A936 (2 GB ram) for anyone who wants it. Tought i would try something different. And one more tip i found out the hard way. Do a root and save your nvram and imei information Flashing with flash tools will most likely result in your sim cards not working.. And there is not yet an imei writer tool for MT6752 chips, Unless someone in here knows where i can find one..
