DESCRIPTION
LEAGOO_T5_OS2.1_E_20181025 based custom rom with root and updates.
Magisk will modify nvram to suit it's purpose. Write down your phones IMEI's, bluetooth and wifi MAC's, and serial number (barcode).
This will allow you to fully format the phone, reinstall the stock rom, and enter your details via "SN Write Tool".
Refer to the provided "Install.txt" for more info, including modifying the rom yourself.

Overall performance, general performance and battery life are improved, high demand scrolling is much more smooth.
3D Mark tells me my Leagoo T5 is running 25% faster than other stock based Leagoo T5 devices.

I suggest adding fingerprint authentication to Magisk, this prevents users installing alternative explorer apps, and gaining root.
If you install the provided explorer, you can also add protection, ideal if the app is set to auto authenticate.
File encryption is optional (Settings > Security > Encrypt), or use the "Data protection" locker.
The device is certified and 100% stable.

Email setup: Enter account > Manual setup > Select IMAP > Add password > Incoming, 'Next' > Outgoing, disable 'Require sign-in'.
Google will ask if this was you, but will be happy with the settings, and will not have a security issue.
Note: failing to disable the password on the second setup screen will cause an issue.

To get a better browser experience, use a different webview mode, by default the Android webview mode will autoplay videos.
Chrome will allow you to use desktop mode, other browsers also support: Android, iPhone, iPad and desktop views.
Firefox for Android is another alternative, it uses it's own webview mode which does not autoplay.

Chrome flags (type 'chrome' into chrome as a URL):
HW overlay – none | Partial swap – disabled | QUIC protocol – enabled | Zero-copy rasterizer – enabled.

To disable-remove (sort of), a system or vendor app, without deleting it, set its primary folder to 644 (no execute), then reboot.
Please make sure you can disable the app without an issue, if later you need it, set it back to 755.
You can also use pm and Termux (with tsu), with root (or with ADB): sudo pm disable-user –user 0 com.an-app.appname.
pm list packages -d

If you are using FX explorer, you can mount '/system' as rw, the make a '.sh' file on the SD card.
Input the command into the '.sh' file (example: chown -R root:root /system/).
Now execute the script using FX, and as root. The '.sh' file is like a terminal input point.

Changelog, after last OTA update from LEAGOO:
CPU
Unlocked full CPU frequency, to 1508 x4 + 1001 x4 (1520,1040), up from 1144-1001 (1144, 1144).
Fixed the vendor files for CPU frequency, not changed from factory (1144-1950).
Fixed the vendor files for the CPU frequency governor (Interactive).
GPU
Enabled the GPU driver, set the system to fully hardware accelerated.
Set the GPU frame sync to 60 fps for a 60hz screen.
RAM
Set the system to use the least amount of RAM possible without performance issues.
Increased the performance of the system RAM mangement slightly.
NET
Increased all data connection speeds to full, including WiFi.

You will only notice stuttering if the CPU-GPU is under high load, in general its still fit for use.
Still performs well with most websites, although high CPU-GPU load apps do stutter.

I am still using the device as a backup, dual sim, it still works well given the A53 age.
