It is a pleasure for me to share with you the new Official recovery from the hand of the Teacher and Friend 
@Iceman-IT, official member of the TWRP.
We can already enjoy this excellent Custom recovery for our Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x. It has been compiled by me under Linux from the official TWRP source code on GitHub. If you have any doubts or bug, comment on the post and we will seek the solution.

Remember that if it is the first time you are installing a TWRP in your Note 4x, you must disable the OPT check. To do this download the OPT Patch and flash it the first time you start the TWRP. You should also flash root access if you have a Xiaomi Rom, otherwise you will not boot the system.

Yes, there are not a Note 4 and a Note 4X with MTK, the 4X as 4GB Ram where the 4 as 3GB.
