This is P1a42 or P1C72 ?
Could somebody who know to explain here, clear, which are the hardware differences between P1a42 and P1c72 to clarify one's for ever and to avoid any mistakes.It seems that the ROMs are not compatibles.
Great rom! Well working on my P1 Pro.
P1a42 (Vibe P1) is the international device, with 32GB storage and 2 GB RAM. It is usually capable to operate on standard frequencies used on Europe. It is usually flashed with a ROW (rest of the world) ROM. 4G bands enabled: FDD-LTE:B1/3/7/20(1800/2100/2600/800MHz) TDD-LTE B40 (2300 MHz). Note the absence of B38 sed by Digi Romania for 4G data. PS: the enabled bands depend on firmware and its parameters. The firmware is also bundled with SNS (Facebook, Skype etc) along standard Google apps.
P1c72 (known as Vibe P1 Pro) differs on the following aspects: it has 3G RAM instead of 2, 16 GB storage instead of 32, it is sold mainly on China/Hong Kong and it is flashed with a 'Vibe UI" (chinese) ROM. Basically, it is the same android version, but there are differences on the audio profile manager (there is a "mute" widget that doesn't supress the alarms, while the P1 ROW widget supress all sounds, alarm included), it doesn't have the lollipop "priorities" implemented. And of course, with stock Vibe UI ROM, there is no Google app installed, not even google Play. Thank godness, the guys who sell such devices on aliexpress/ebay usually 'adapt' the rom to include root and google play, but they can't get rid of all chinese stuff off the ROM. Btw, the VibeUI launcher has a nice feature, to automatically download images for the screen locker. There is an updatable ROW (international) rom for this device that 'works' (it was intitially posted by some russian guys). I've been using the ROW rom on the P1c72, it works fine, but I have a feeling that the battery last a bit less. I also hear that NFC ain't working on this combination, but I had no way to test this. Important note: P1c72 ships with the 24w quick charger (and without headset), a full charge takes less than 5 hours to complete,I hear that the international version might be shipping with 'standard' charger. The P1c72 is enabled by default for the following 4G bands: FDD-LTE:B1/3(1800/2100MHz) TDD-LTE B38/39/40/41 (note lack of bands 7 and 20 and addition of B38 (Digi RO),39,41). Fortunately, the bands enabled depend on the installed firmware parameters (NVRAM).
Since the beginning of the year, a new variant appeared, named "P1 Turbo". You might find it on the indonesian sites. Be careful of inconsistencies between 'at a glance' and 'specifications' pages, one says 3G RAM, 13 MP camera, the other says 2G RAM, 16 MP camera.
