CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

How to install:
It's usually a good idea to download the newest build version. Just install it via recovery. I tested it on CWM and TWRP but it should also work on other recoveries. You will also need gapps if you want to use Google services. I recommend stock OpenGApps – use the arm64 versions.

fingerprint work. All work, except FM radio. And WiFi dont work in sleep mode
I just updated the Download links with the latest Build 7.1. It fixes WiFi and makes FP faster. Also increases the overall system speed and smoothness!
Check out version 8. fm radio and encryption is working now.
