   the 13 megapixel were not real, were interpolated. The reall is 8 megapixel

     OK so, why the rear camera is not interpolated now??

     and why if u control the front camera u see 8 megapixel also in front camera? (real is 2)

      

     For the Root i cannot help u. I also had the same problem.

   RRonin: Why would you want that the camera produces interpolated pictures? Interpolation is a mathematical way to raise the resolution of an image. If you need it: use any image manipulation tool (e.g. PhotoShop) and change the resolution. Result will most likely be better than when the phone does it.

   Really i don't  understand why the new firmware 4.4.2 don't continue to support the old settings and improovements of the previous versions.

   I also noticed that the firmware seems to enable e bigger interpolation in the front camera where now u can interpolate till 8 megapixel (In 4.2.2 was max till 5 megapixel).

   Really this seems to be a bug most then a wanted choose

     A higher interpolation is not an improvement: it just allows marketing to put higher numbers in the product description. If a sensor has a physical resolution of 100 pixel – well, guess what – the information you really have is 100 pixel. Interpolation will generate an image where software changes the resolution and tries to guess the content of neighbouring pixel – pure algorythm - it wont generate more information than you collected in the first place. Therefore: interpolation does increase the file size but only virtually increases the resolution.

     I agree: front cam with 8 Mpix is most likely a bug. I think it's rather something below 720p.

   I can't use Titanium Backup Pro – while the free version works. In the moment it uses the Hypershell (what ever that is), it can't save any file (neither on internal nor external storage). Of course the Dev doesn't reply (other than the automated "we care – somebody will take care …").

   I'm working on an update, based on the Star G9000 S5 Stock Rom from 10/07/2014. This ROM has the problem that the front camera is not operating. Now this error I was able to fix. The back camera now has 13 megapixels (interpolated). All other functions work correctly! I'll put the ROM during the day online!

    One question , is that i have a question:

    This Rom 4.4.2 is the official factory brings the G9000?, Or a cooked rom kitkat style. Is it as update and improvements are added, makes me think that is not the original (official). and i´m thinking go back to 4.2.2. At least to do root and operates the camera. Anyone can solve my doubt.
